Republican U.S. Sen. Pat Toomey is returning to Pennsylvania's airwaves for the first time since last summer, advancing a pro-law enforcement and pro-gun control message as Democrats step up attacks on him.
The ads, starting Tuesday, tout Toomey's support for undoing Obama administration restrictions on police access to U.S. military gear and Toomey's push to expand background checks on firearms purchases.
Toomey's re-election bid is expected to be expensive and hotly contested, and the seat in closely divided Pennsylvania is viewed as crucial to control of the Senate.

GOPe. He needs to be primaried.
Too late for that.
I wouldn’t say it pro law enforcement but is surly pro gun control
POS. Not a conservative. Should hopefully be strongly defeated.
Must not want to win. Must be vying for the east coast, liberal vote in Filthadelphia.
I will not vote for that Turd!He is a 2A traitor.
This is not new. Toomey was pushing this last go around. He’s a RINO POS and always has been.
Toomey equals the Obama militarized police
state, and the disarming of the general populace.
When the GOPe steals the nomination it is going to give me more pleasure pushing the straight rat button.
This one is a sure Democrat pickup.
Thanks for posting Red, I just sent this to the Berks County Patriots. He needs to go.
The party of stupid stokes again!
We are entitled to own an AR for the same reason that Rosa Parks got a bus seat.
The Constitution.
The problem here in Pennsylvania is that the opponent Toomey is running against is a far worse.
The slithering piece of $hit Joe Sestak will vote to overturn the 2nd amendment. Conservatives in this state have no representation.
MISS ME YET?
What extended background checks. It’s pretty inclusive as it is. Maybe getting the FBI to canvass your neighbors??
The “universal background Check” is just a way of advancing toward “universal gun registration”. The purpose is to make it illegal to sell or transer any gun without government permission.
Then, slowly and incrementally make government permission harder and harder to get.
Eventually, the idea goes, any gun not registered will be declared illegal, then incremental confiscation is already underway.
I do not think it will work, but it sure can cause a lot of problems and heartache on the way to defeating it.
I’ll bet they’ll go after the gun associations subscription lists to gather names.
