Yes, but Reagan was the anti-Trump in terms of endearment. He used good-natured humor against his critics, was always sunny, and stayed on message about the “shining city on the hill.” He would never have engaged in personal attacks on his opponent’s spouse. And he would NEVER have said health care and education were two primary purposes of the Federal government. He knew that the primary purposes were few and enumerated, and certainly did not include health care and education.

The only reason Cruz is doing anything is because he has the full backing of the GOPe and the perks that go along with it.

My wife is like you, though not as staunch as you seem to be. She was very off-put by Trump’s attack on Hillary re: “not having stamina”. That didn’t sit well with her at all. And she hates Hillary.
Cruz really really can’t attack Hillary now because he has a “wymyn” problem (aside from being pro life.........) ‘cos the National Enquirer is not done with him yet

I don’t remember. I just remember a lot of RCP polls showing Obama leading Romney and everyone here picking them apart because the sample include +8 Dems or some such nonsense and therefore the polls were “totally flawed”.

That includes the MSM manipulation and deception of the news.
The very BIG difference today is that we have the Internet and the TRUTH seems to have a very powerful way of going around the media and directly reaches the masses who want to access it.
Trump actually has MORE POWER to communicate with the public and his base than Reagan ever had in his day, thanks to social media.
You're kidding yourself if you're trying to make anyone believe Trump has LESS advantage than Reagan. It's actually the reverse and you'll will continue to witness that as history unfolds and in a rather ironic way "repeats itself."
OMG. Trump was reacting to the initial nude photo of his wife being used in the Utah campaign. The tweet was a first natural reaction by a man. So after the first tweet how has Trump gone after Heidi? Has he said anymore about Heidi.

Let’s break down differences
1) Trump does not have all the conservative base on board. Just reading this site proves that. Trumpers have all stated he’ll make that up with Democrats...good luck
2) Carter was viewed as weak and incompetent. BHO has a 53% JAR.
3) No gas lines, inflation lower, the economy is doing ok, not great but better than it was in 1980, no Iranian Hostage crisis.
4) Reagan didn’t actively damage himself in the primary. Trump is and it’s doubtful after all he’s done if he can get the total of the GOP base on board. Trump’s unfavorables are not only higher than hers but higher than any other candidate running since that measure was being polled
5) Hillary is known by huge majorities to be crooked. So Trump won’t be able to make much hay out of that since he donated to the Clinton Foundation. His supporters think he will by him stated he had to to do business but again....good luck
6) The 1980 electorate is alot different than today’s. Fewer white voters. California, an easy reach for the GOP in 1980, has become almost off limits.
Now, November is a long ways off and anything can happen. But Trumpers need to stop living in a fantasy world were a 50 state landslide awaits and the voters love Trump and admit their candidate has serious, serious problems and if the election was held today, Hillary would win

It was a BAD BAD BAD move by Trump. His re-tweet served no purpose. It didn’t denounce Cruz’s Pac. It didn’t attempt to link the original photo leak to the Cruz campaign, it didn’t defend his wife, all it did was mock Heidi Cruz, alienate other women who already see him as sexist and make him look like a petty middle school kid. The bottom line, he’s insecure. And that ain’t good.
Bottom line is you cannot answer my question and all you can do is tap dance. Just pathetic on your part.
How am I “tap dancing”? It’s pretty obvious Trump attacked Heidi Cruz with that re-tweet. What’s pretty pathetic is that you’re so desensitized to lack of manners, crass behavior and lack of Presidential behavior that you can’t even tell the difference anymore.
