260,000 Vets Stripped of Their Gun Rights With a Single VA Gun Regulation

Two Senate Republicans are trying to find out why 260,000 vets have been stripped of their gun rights. The Veterans Affairs office has made it a practice to report veterans to the FBIs National Instant Criminal Background Check system.
If veterans need help doing paper work, they lose their rights. Its clearly a violation of the Second Amendment.
Any veteran who is assigned a fiduciary trustee to act on their behalf is automatically declared mentally defective and is reported to NICS, the database Federal Firearms Licensees use to determine whether a prospective buyer is eligible to buy guns.

The VA is a weird place. My uncle is a decorated combat vet of WW2 and Korea. They turned him down for long-term care because he was combative.Be thankful they turned him down.

Hey. I got out of the Navy in 1970 too. Did we serve on different ships together? LOL! Yeah, probably. I met my best friend, who also just gotten out of the navy, in Spanish class at Cleveland State, and he always said that we served on different ships together.
BTW, I served on USS Joseph K. Taussig (DE-1030), the USS Harlan R. Dickson, (DD-708), and the USS Warrington (DD-843), all home ported out of Newport, Rhode Island.
Remember when Nixon mined Hai Phong harbor in 1972? The Warrington was the only ship in anybody's navy to get taken out of action, when a anti-ship mine broke free from it's moorings and drifted out into the Gulf of Tonkin.
Of course, by that time was a civvie so I missed out on the fun...

Well, I started on the USS Lester DE-1022 out of Newport. Then went to the USS Hyman DD-732 out of New Orleans then to the USS ENGLISH DD-696 and USS Waldron DD-699 out of Mayport FL. I guess my CO’s didn’t like me or something since the kept transferring me. LOL!

I’m sure the IRS will start this as well. Need an accountant to do your taxes? Sorry! No second amendment rights for you!

My Father was very ill and hospitalized at the VA in Memphis. My Sister, A Ph.D in nursing and I (a D.V.M.) visited him and were going over his chart. He was a diabetic and had not been given anything for two weeks to control his blood sugar. None of his current medications had been given for his heart in several days. Nothing had been done. When my Sister and I challenged the head nurse about his lack of treatment what was their response? On the Chart they wrote "Do not let the family see the treatment and removed the chart from his bed. We removed him from the VA and at a hospital in Tupelo he was treated for his maladies and lived several more years. The VA in Memphis were going to let him die.

Im sure the IRS will start this as well.Yes check "over 65" on the deductions and they will make the assumption you are senile.

Yep.
They are protected by armed guards.
They just stand behind the armed guards and flip you off.

OK, it’s time for the bureaucrats who are responsible for these regulations to start having “accidents”...at the hands of clear thinking veterans who recognize the danger of their continued existence.

They treat the Veterans like they are enemies. And we pay their salaries.
We can always find out where they live...

OK, you're officially an honorary shipmate. You sound salty enough to me, but ya had me on that when you told me you were a destroyer sailor.
We got around, didn't we?

LOL! Trust me, the DE was worse. Single screw twin rudders. We could turn like crazy but couldn’t keep up with the carriers or DD’s worth a damn. North Atlantic in 50’ seas was not a whole lot of fun either. :>)

Social Security is trying to do the same thing. Or has. WTH? I had to fill out some VA paperwork recently and there was a disturbing trend in regards to this issue. When referencing a particular physician they kept saying something about observations of mental state. For hearing or back related issues? Doesn't this mean that Hillary's mental health and memory-related problems mage her clinically ineligible to perform as the commander-in-chief of the U.S. military, to include nuclear launch responsibilities. Not to mention her antidepressant prescription medicine usage....
