Donald Trump asks on his Twitter account whether he can “press charges” against Michelle Fields, as David Martosko of the Daily Mail prints purported quotes from an anonymous Secret Service agent in Trump’s security detail — claiming Fields was warned she was too close to the billionaire presidential candidate. From the Daily Mail: Republican front-runner Donald Trump’s campaign manager Corey Lewandowski has been charged with simple battery for allegedly grabbing a reporter, in a case that may hinge on a Secret Service claim that the journalist first made unwanted physical contact with the billionaire-turned-politician. ‘Victory press conference was over. That's an asinine statement. You must be one of the few Cruz supporters left, as you don't seem aware. Trump his family have been targeted, and received multiple death threats, some from billionaire drug kingpins, RNC types, Communist, leftist, MSM et al. This is not a secret.

The Republican Party is part and parcel of this stupidity, trying everything they can to slime Trump with their pettiness. They will not stand to allow voters to have a say in their plaything...the U.S. government.
Today, for the first time in 42 years of voting, I have changed my registration to non-partisan. I will have nothing to do with this party whatsoever in the future. Even if Trump wins, the party will try to destroy him. I will not associate in any way with that collection of criminals and patrician aristocrats. To Hell with them.

Mr. Lewandowski then worked for a number of years as a State Policeman in New Hampshire, before returning to politics.

It is amazing to see the contortions of Trump followers regarding this incident. The fact that triggered this entire event is the failure of Lewandowski and, by extension, Trump, to own, from the very beginning, what was a relatively minor incident. This is a non-event had he simply offered a private apology - the right thing to do. But because of hubris, he was unable to do so and the resulting story adjustments of his has outweighed whatever story adjustments Fields has issued.
The fact is he and Trump have “handled” the situation poorly. Trump followers need to stop Lewandowski-ing themselves and own this for what it is - a poorly-managed situation. That ends the story. By not doing that, but continuing to re-configure events, ascribe motives, assail character only serves to keep the whole thing going. History teaches that it’s not so much the crime as it is the cover-up which does the most damage.
Pride is a heckuva thing.

Was watching a Trump Town Hall...lot of people there...but only looked like maybe a half dozen security folks.

I have been a Mark Levin fan and listener up to recently. Once he decided to go all in for Cruz (who I also like), he has become like a rabid dog....blaming Trump for any and all without showing any hint of objectivity or researching the issue. Levin should go get a job with the MSMedia...he now acts like one. Levin has become a total turnoff now. Trump and virtues and flaws. Cruz has virtues and flaws. Either would make a President vastly better than anyone the Insane Clown Posse Party is fielding (S or H).
