Even Michael Savage had had enough. As the insults and innuendos over candidates wives and tabloid reports of suspected affairs dominated the back and forth between Senator Ted Cruz and Donald J. Trump, Mr. Savage, one of the countrys most popular conservative radio hosts and an ardent supporter of Mr. Trump, drew a red line last week. Ive supported Trump and probably still will, but if he wont disavow this guy Pecker and this story, I may withdraw my support, he said on the air on Friday. He was referring to David J. Pecker, the owner of The National Enquirer, which published the allegations of sexual affairs against Mr. Cruz. I am not going to support anyone who engages in assassination by innuendo, Mr. Savage added. But on Monday, Mr. Trump and Mr. Savage reconciled in a mostly fawning interview, with no apology from Mr. Trump, who nevertheless called The Enquirers allegation that Mr. Cruz had affairs garbage. The momentary rupture, however brief, was emblematic. As the fractures in the Republican Party over the candidacy of Mr. Trump grow deeper by the day, conservative talk radio is having its own identity crisis. Long a powerful and potent agitator of right-wing politics, conservative radio hosts are one of the few forces that can sway the opinions of the Trump electorate. And with Mr. Trump and Mr. Cruz now tearing each other and the party apart, the biggest names in the field are delicately navigating how to address Mr. Trumps latest provocations without alienating listeners.

Listened to a Trump, Cruz and Kacish staffer discuss the contest on Vannity today.
Three A-holes that couldn’t stop talking over each other.
We are going to pass pretty quickly from ballot box to cartridge box if these morons don’t get their shit together.
I’m sorry but no two have brought more respect and notice to the conservative movement than these two. Furthermore with you close your ears or have never listened to a single program because if you had your know their bringing awareness to what is going on in Government and publicizing it has probably brought more action out of the masses in recent history than no other. In fact they make an observation and then a solution. From that not a single GOPe shill follows said solution. Thousands then flood the lines to place pressure on said Congresscritter.
You don’t think they accomplish anything? Try again.
Hate this auto crap on iPhone jacking up my writing
I don't think Mark supports the establishment. I'm not sure about Rush (and I've been a big fan for years). I've lost great respect for both during this primary. I can respect Mark liking Cruz. I liked Cruz very much early on. But Mark has put blinders on to every questionable deed done by Cruz and he has poured buckets of gas on any little spark around the Trump campaign as well as played lose with the truth.
I'm really not sure what's driving Rush but my ears and common sense tell me he wants Trump to lose.
Either way the end result is the same. They help the establishment by dissuading votes away from Trump and ultimately leading to a brokered convention where God only knows what will happen. But it sure won't be Cruz or Trump . There is no way Ted Cruz is winning the nomination outright. The math just doesn't support it. That only leaves the choices of a brokered convention where the establishment wins or an outright Trump win.
How Rush, Mark, and many here don't see that is beyond me. I can only hope that someone named 'Optiguy' can see it.
Thank you for the thoughtful reply and explanation.
If he appoints his liberal sister to the Supreme Court, that is very liberal.
