Patty Duke, who won a best supporting actress Oscar for her performance as Helen Keller in The Miracle Worker and starred as two cousins, different as night and day, on her own sitcom, has died, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed. She was 69.

You are right about that. Betty White, Brett Somers, Charles Nelson Reilly, Fannie Flagg, and Richard Dawson made up the regulars but ones like her, Patty Deutsch, Bill Daily, Mclean Stevenson, and Joyce Bulifant were on a fair bit as well.

Ivy Green is close to me geographically and there isn’t a time I pass that way that I don’t think about her act in the “Miracle Worker”. RIP Patty. Your TV series was also a great program.

Always wanted to visit Ivy Green. Have always been fascinated with Helen and Annie - thanks to the movie, of course.
