Rubio not backing Cruz because GOP elites reportedly told him not to
Bizpac Review ^ | March 28, 2016 | John Binder

Rubio has yet to throw his support behind either GOP front-runner Donald Trump, Sen. Ted Cruz, or Ohio Gov. John Kasich. But, there could be a reason for that.

In a report by the New York Times, a Republican strategist said Rubio "has been discouraged by some party financiers from supporting Mr. Cruz" while making "thank-you calls" to his donors following his exit.
.
.
The report also hinted that Rubio is already eyeing another presidential bid in 2020 should the GOP lose the 2016 election to Democrat front-runner Hillary Clinton.

Rubio refused to endorse Ted Cruz, but he DID say, “He needs to dispel once and for all this fiction that Barack Obama doesn’t know what he’s doing. He knows exactly what he’s doing.”

I can see a guy wanting to take a breath before lining up behind one or the other of his rivals.

He’ll presumably back the eventual nominee, though after the pounding he got from Donald it may be rather lukewarm support if Trump leads the ticket.

Nah. These guys are politicos. Rubio's feelings may be hurt, but if he has any plans for a future in politics, he'll be enthusiastically supporting the party nominee.

After calling him a “friend” several times, Rubio plays the establishment game. Very disappointing.

Frankly I don’t think Trump is the ideal candidate, but he is probably the best for this cycle.

He and Cruz need to bury the hatchet, make a yuge deal, and start governing.

GOPe wants Cruz just strong enough to block Trump but no stronger. They need to eliminate both Trump and Cruz to pave the way for their convention shenanigans.

Hey, if they keep raising the minimum wage and then give the hard-working unionized robots citizen rights Rubio may have a natural constituency in 2020.

If Cruz and Rubio would finally wake up and smell the coffee...the GOPe/RNC are using them and will discard them like yesterday's trash once they are through using them to undermine Trump - Trump who is not vulnerable or beholden to typical DC manipulations by the despised political establishment.

Cruz and Rubio are decent men who have a limited window of opportunity to take advantage of what little power they hold at the moment (at great personal cost) - power which can utterly destroy the establishment in response to being used/manipulated.

Wake up...take 180° about face....Firmly step out of the mud pit and "Join" forces with Trump (the voice of the people), combine delegates and undermine the GOPe/RNC efforts (to undermine the will of the people) & force this much needed and timely demise of the political establishment. It's amazing what can be accomplished by kicking these manipulators to the curb.

Walk away from these instigated personal attacks which serve no purpose to the ultimate goal, reminding these candidates their goal is to ultimately win this 2016 election season.

Together, Rubio, Cruz & Trump should focus and face off against the DNC candidate and win.

Then, as the election comes to a close, take the time to resolve differences and negotiate politics... Constitutionally. Drop all non-related issues now. Our nation's citizens are counting on you.

It should be abundantly clear to anyone with two brain cells to rub together that the GOPe is bent on destroying both Cruz and Trump so they can install someone else. Who that someone else will be remains the question...

When neither of them wins the election and both their wives throw these cheaters out, they will appear at the Trump Las Vegas as "Los Dos Cubanitos."
