Ted Cruz dodges question about whether he's 'always been faithful' to his wife ...

Ted Cruz dodges question about whether he's 'always been faithful' to his wife as endorser Carly Fiorina leaps in to insist a declaration that he's not an adulterer is a 'dance to Donald trump's tune'

Texas senator could put National Enquirer scandal to rest with a simple statement that he has never strayed in his 14-year marriage

Instead he has batted down the supermarket tabloid's speculative story about five alleged affairs in a more limited fashion

Carly Fiorina leaped in to intercept DailyMail.com's request for a blanket statement of marital fidelity and Cruz ultimately punted on the question

Fiorina pleaded for a return to discussing issues, but lobbed her own accusation at 'serial adulterer' Donald Trump

Cruz also challenged Trump to a one-on-one debate in Wisconsin on Tuesday night: 'Why don't you show up and debate like a man?'

Ted Cruz declined to answer a question on Monday about whether he has ever been unfaithful to his wife Heidi.

'Senator Cruz,' DailyMail.com asked him, 'can you please swat down more definitively this National Enquirer piece by telling us on the record that you've never been unfaithful to your wife?'

The National Enquirer published a story last Wednesday that speculated about five women with whom the Republican presidential candidate was rumored to have had extramarital affairs.

Cruz has batted down the specifics of the story on numerous occasions since it appeared in supermarket checkout lanes.

But instead of making a blanket declaration that he has been faithful during the entirety of his 14-year marriage – a move that would effectively end the vicious news cycle – Cruz stood silently as campaign surrogate Carly Fiorina leapt in to intercept the question and change the subject.

Posted today does not mean today. Even you question it!

Of course I questioned the pic that I posted, if it was a pic taken on Monday. I question everything.

Which is why I questioned your post.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but you seemed sure that Heidi was leaving Ted on the campaign trail.

Anyway, the campaign seems to agree partly with your comment that Heidi should be at Cruz's side.

Heidi not Carly should have been at his side

I think Heidi is scheduled to be with Cruz today in WI. She was scheduled to be in both NJ and NY today and tomorrow, but now they do want her by Cruz's side.

We will see what happens.

so why couldn’t he just say he never had cheated on his wife?

Because another shoe (high heel) is going to drop?

Good minds question
She apparently filed for divorce in 2011-12 for infidelity. Since I’ve been in her shoes I’m viewing it from my own bias. Once an adulterer seldom changes. They just manipulate better to not be caught. She has already been at breaking point without the public humiliation.

Thursday’s NE is going to be brutal to their marriage. IMO the last article was set up to be followed by many more devastating (lucrative) articles. Expect NE as a tool of HILLAry to try taking Trump down when the CRUZ campaign has succeeded
Hasn’t she also cancelled her Wisconsin engagements. Have not seen confirmation of that.

You got me. I even have his guac bowl. The saddest day of my life was when Jeb lost his exclamation point and dropped out.

On a serious note, that’s a lie, and my posting history indicates it as so. So what poster said it? Did you make that up?

"If Cruz came out and directly denied any infidelity, Trumpbots would just say “...anyone who would cheat on his wife would lie about it...”, so NOTHING he says will satisfy the Trump Inquisition."

Are you freaking kidding? I can say, "Yes, I've always been faithful to my wife"; hopefully you can too (yes, I realize you're 'Auntie', so "always faithful to my husband", whatever...); and would be willing to wager more than 90% of FReepers can say that very line, including Cruz supporters. Would have worked for me. Ted never said it - 8 short words: "Yes, I've always been faithful to my wife"

'Senator Cruz,' DailyMail.com asked him, 'can you please swat down more definitively this National Enquirer piece by telling us on the record that you've never been unfaithful to your wife?'

DailyMail.com directed the question a second time at Cruz when Fiorina had finished. 'Senator I'm sorry, this is a very serious question about your character,' the second question came. 'Will you just – if the answer is, "Yes, I've always been faithful to my wife," can you just say so please?'

Yes I did make it up.

I hope you don't mind, but I was doing a little experiment.

I responded to your post where you opined about the proper denial Cruz should have made to an absurd baseless charge.

I wanted to see your denial for an absurd baseless charge.

Drudge is weird now.

No, Drudge values his integrity. If he loses that, he has nothing. He knows that. And that is why you have not seen this sleazy smear on his front page. There is no there, there. Months and months and no one could find a shred of hard evidence. Zero. Even the New York Carnival Barking Empty Suit's friend Pecker was forced to run the story as a "some one said there were rumors" type of story, because they had nothing other that.

Well, you saw my denial. Where’s Cruz denial? All he has to say is that he never cheated on his wife. Instead he goes after Donald or has Carly go after Donald.

The man is as guilty as the day is long and Carly Fiorina proved it by coming to his rescue. After all that’s what that $500,000 was all about.
