Ted Cruz declined to answer a question on Monday about whether he has ever been unfaithful to his wife Heidi.
'Senator Cruz,' DailyMail.com asked him, 'can you please swat down more definitively this National Enquirer piece by telling us on the record that you've never been unfaithful to your wife?'
The National Enquirer published a story last Wednesday that speculated about five women with whom the Republican presidential candidate was rumored to have had extramarital affairs.
Cruz has batted down the specifics of the story on numerous occasions since it appeared in supermarket checkout lanes.
But instead of making a blanket declaration that he has been faithful during the entirety of his 14-year marriage – a move that would effectively end the vicious news cycle – Cruz stood silently as campaign surrogate Carly Fiorina leapt in to intercept the question and change the subject.

There are a LOT of things that I bragged about ten years ago that I’m mortified about today, and if this bragging is what I’m thinking that you’re talking about, that was 30 years ago.
If he’s faithful to Melania, I’m willing to give Trump the benefit of the doubt in this case.
You want to talk about asking forgiveness? I read the while interview, and while I’d probably demand clarification if he was going to want to take Communion in my church, it’s still about the same as the thoughts of most American popular religion, except for the fact that he’s got the theology of Holy Communion pretty much down and says that he gets forgiveness that way.
So good for him there. You know, just as an aside.
Trump does not thump the bible every day during his speeches. Whereas Cruz begins every victory speech with “glory be to God” & thumps the bible. It is the hypocrisy that matters.

I forgot about that. No wonder Carly is OK with Ted. She’s a homewrecker at both ends. Carly cheated on her first husband with her current husband, who was married at the time.

Exactly. What could be more hypocritical than a media that pushes abortion, homosexuality, and epicurean ideals (as if they are the "pursuit of happiness") somehow and suddenly taking an interest in a candidate's cleanliness in terms of sexual matters. Stay away from those who aspire to public office while boasting in deviant behavior. Encourage those who know what deviance is yet try to stay away from it.
There is no possible way that Cruz could win the general election. Not even worth talking about. Period!
Fiorina may be in trouble about the $500,000 given to her SuperPAC from the Cruz SuperPAC. The Liz Mair superPAC that put out the Mealania “Support Trump banner ad has the same address as Carly’s and has the same treasurer.

I will have to write in Trump. I used to be a Cruz supporter but can’t stand to hear his voice now. What would I do for the next 8 years?
Maybe I’m being selfish but I think Cruz wants this too bad, too early. He could have waited and tried to accomplish something great in the senate first, but has accepted what his father has bestowed on him. He’s supposedly the anointed one.
I realize that, but I want to know how their questions are being asked. If they are being asked in a column they shouldn't expect a response. If it is a person asking a question in an interview directly, that is a different story.
