Scott Walker's Profile Rising as Wis. Primary Nears
Real Clear Politics ^ | 3-27-16 | Rebecca Berg

As the Republican presidential primary shifts its focus to Wisconsin, Gov. Scott Walker is poised to re-enter the national spotlight, having suggested this week that he will soon offer his endorsement.

Walker said he would weigh in "after Easter, when it would have the maximum impact," and hinted strongly that he favors Sen. Ted Cruz, who "is the only one who's got a chance other than Donald Trump to win the nomination."

"Probably in the next week or so we'll, one, make a decision whether we're going to endorse or not; then, secondly, specifically who we’re going to get behind," Walker told radio host Charlie Sykes.

After a recent gathering in New York where Walker thanked some of his former presidential campaign donors, one attendee left with the impression that Walker intends to endorse early this week.

Such an endorsement would mark the two-term governor's most high-profile moment since he ended his own presidential campaign last year amid low polling and fundraising woes. The fresh attention would not be unwanted: Indeed, he has been slowly but deliberately rebuilding his national brand since that failed spin on the national stage, with a noticeable uptick in networking, speeches and public appearances over the past few months.

In November, Walker was elected vice chairman of the Republican Governors Association, a role for which he has begun to travel more frequently and connect with party donors and officials.

Last month, he snagged a speaking slot at CPAC, the widely watched annual conservative gathering in the Washington, D.C., area. Walker used the platform to strike a contrast between the country's GOP governors, such as himself, and the presidential campaign.

I was a scot walker fan and felt he made the right decision when he saw that his candidacy was not going to happen unlike the others that stayed in to the bitter end. I think both Cruz or Trump would be wise to ad him to there ticket as vice president. he offers his experience as governor and his experience busting up entrenched interests in governmental institutions.

Trump/Walker could be a good ticket.

Styles clash. Walker prefers to NOT ruffle feathers, just set a bunch of things in motion while he keeps his cool and lets the other side be the crazies. Either approach works, but not on the same ticket in a national election. They clash. We needed a man like Walker in 2008 when we got stuck with McCain. This is not the right year for his brand of "Just do it." (cite--Nike)

Lyin Cruz gave him money to retire his debt. Scott will endorse Lyin Cruz.

Follow money

Endorsing Cruz would be tantamount to endorsing crystal meth.

This is funny!

“is the only one who’s got a chance other than Donald Trump to win the nomination.”

The only one who’s got a chance, except for the OTHER one who has a chance.

GAWD.

“I like him.”

I do too. He’s been good for Wisconsin and good for Conservatism.

Walker is as exciting as last year’s Christmas tree. Establishment stool pigeon. Probably endorsing Kaye-sick.

Do you have a link to substantiate this? Or is this simply more Trumpsters lies (which, IMHO, is all the Trumpsters have left)?

I’d vote for Walker any day. He’s a social conservative, but not a bleeding heart “anointed” one, he’s been strong enough to stand up to the civil service unions, his state is doing well, and he actually appears to be able to think beyond spewing insults and actually offers a plan.

That is what is odd here. Walker’s poll numbers are really really low. Not sure why. I thought he was doing a good job. If true, not sure the endorsement will help.

He ran and lost for a reason.
Sanders was taking shots at him last night, so he must have gotten wind that the GOPe was planning to install him at the convention.

I like him enough, but let’s get real - like the tard from Ohio, their appeal is Midwestern and limited to their industrial states.

He does not have it in him to punch a Mean Girl (Hillary) and we can’t throw this away.

Trump can and will do it.
