Nine people have been charged with murder after a row between two high school girls over 'a boy and some racy photos' led to the death of a teenager.
Demajhay Bell, 18, was stabbed in the neck by a friend during a chaotic street brawl at the house of one of the feuding girls in Hephzibah, South Augusta.
The teenager, who stayed inside for most of the fighting, was wounded in the deadly melee which featured a 50-strong mob wielding baseball bats, knives and pipes last Friday. He died in hospital two days later.

Friends and relatives of each girl joined in and soon there were two groups with up to 50 people threatening to settle the dispute in the streets, according to Eyvette Byrd, 39 - the mother of one of the feuding girls who is 15.
She is also the mother of 21-year-old Demetrius Harris Jr, who stabbed Demajhay. Both have been charged with aggrieved assault and felony murder.
The mob showed up at the home at around 1.45pm and fighting spilled onto the street. It was captured on video and later posted on Youtube.

Not me. I would have won the bet once again.
Somebody there will eventually be charged with possession and with that comes the attempt to seize the house under civil asset forfeiture. Are they renting?
More “youths” committing crimes in groups.
Just last week, I read that many blacks in Chicago are moving South to flee the dangers of Chicago. I hope this city in Georgia is not on their destination list. Otherwise, it’s just a transference of useless debris, from one dump to another.
This is a middle-income suburb of extremely mixed population - white, black, and lots of international. However, I have been noticing recently that the number of cars per residence has been increasing. This is an economic marker indicating that there are more working adults per house. Not a good sign for the future.
Our family has three vehicles in operation (plus my 1983 RX-7 in the garage), but some places have at least 5. The HOA is turning a blind eye, although the Post Office sends nastygrams if you block the mailbox.
Same city. Augusta is not a great place to live. ANGC is incredible though :-)
I was going to use blunt....didn’t just in case some here didn’t know what it meant. ;)
Looks like a blunt but could be just an innocent cigar.
No, it’s owner-occupied. I think Vicki, the matriarch, holds the title to the house.
Mapping it, 11 miles, 25 minutes, probably 8-9 as the crow flies.
And a very long way away, on many levels. But also very close.
This is how the world ends.
Hear the drums, Bwana?
The natives are restless tonight.
Augusta is just outside Fort Gordon. I was stationed there in the mid sixties. It was a craphole then.
The giveaway is actually this:
"fight between two high school girls over a boy "
In the "community", girls fight over boys, never the other way around.
Eyvette Demitrius and Demajhay
Just wow.
I say that or something very similar to myself at least once a day when perusing the news here on FR and elsewhere. It is all coming apart at the seams, it seems.
I was just explaining to my daughter, who was reading over my shoulder, that “Dmitri” is Russian while “Demetrius” is black.
“Eyvette Demitrius and Demajhay”
Yeas, I think that one of the real problems they have is trying to form an identity.
You live near there? Oh lucky you./sarc
I’m ATL-area.
Not that we don’t have plenty of the same demographic in the metro area.
