A Sex Scandal? Who Cares? (some interesting tidbits)
American Spectator ^ | F.H. Buckley

Posted on 03/26/2016 9:40:45 AM PDT by RoosterRedux

I don’t now about you, but I’ve found the Republican race a bit of a disappointment until now. Sure, there was the enjoyment of mud-wrestling “debates,” the spectacle of Trump-derangement syndrome, but where was the sex scandal?

And when we get the sex scandal, it’s about Ted Cruz!

Still, beggars can’t be choosers. The scandal, such as it was, has been floating around for a least six months. That’s when a reporter (not from the Spectator) called to ask if I knew anyone who could confirm the story. (As if I’m supposed to know this stuff.) I told him I didn’t and that the people I knew wouldn’t want to touch it, even if they knew something about it.

Now the story has gone public, thanks to a muck-raking journal that as it happened also outed John Edwards. And everyone is wondering whether the story is true.

Except me. Because I don’t much care if it’s true. Given Heidi, I wouldn’t blame Ted. After all, she apparently refuses to live with him. And given Ted, I wouldn’t blame Heidi.

Novelists will sometimes mention some little incident that doesn’t really move the story line, but which nonetheless matters. The little incident that sticks in my mind is the story that she once ran out of the house and was found on the side of the highway by the police, who thought her suicidal. What sticks in my mind is that Ted hadn’t followed her.

I wonder if each of these 5 or 8 women knew about the others? If not, they do now and their scorn will be directed at Ted.

The Heidi Cruz meltdown at the side of the road happed in 2005, around the time Ted is now being accused of seeing hookers dressed like school girls and judges.

Heidi Cruz. Police report about her breakdown...

Here is the location on Google Maps where Heidi Cruz was found sitting at 2200 (10pm), Aug 22, 2005 with her head in her hands.

“...I MADE CONTACT WITH THE ABOVE SUBJECT AT ENFIELD AND N.MOPAC. THE SUBJECT WAS SEATED IN THE GRASS, APPROXIMATELY 10 FEET AWAY FROM N.MOPAC PROPER AT THE ENFIELD ON-RAMP...”

Heidi won’t live with Ted?

Was that just a smart-ass throw away line?

Or do we have Bill and Hillary II running for the WH?

No one is perfect and some will fall to a smooth talking snake.

Its the kids who suffer in the end. It sucks mightily. Which is all the more reason why snakes need to be outted: to reduce their ability to play their games with others in the future.

Hearsay, but the one reporter says that privately, Ted is irreligious and mocks his evangelical supporters.

Ouch.

He won’t apologize to Trump. But he did mess up his blaming speech and admitted to desiring some rats for sex. Which is probably more enjoyable to Trump than an apology.

Not that the blame goes to Heidi, but this voter feels (perhaps) very much like Heidi might feel if finding the truth to the secret the first time (Now?, prior now?) It is felt that Sen Ted has attempted to betray voters/American Citizens perhaps since he got the bee in his bonnet to become our POTUS. If Heidi had known this before today, she could be cast as the star in the circus known as the Clinton campaign. The women might be two of a kind -this being shown by the aspirations of each. JMHO Sen Ted would be cast as the star’s husband (it depends on what ‘is’ is).
One thing that is for certain, given what is written about the two married individuals they must have signed a pact in blood to keep silent not only about the sexual escapades of brother Ted, but the fact that Heidi more than likely knew of his Canadian citizenship as well.

The lady and the tiger - which would be the better, more honest choice for our country. This could possibly be the one, the last vote .....the choice between Cruz or Trump (as it appears to unfold) Which is lying about the fact they might be lying.? Voters should expect better from their candidate. At this time, Ted Cruz,HIMSELF, has betrayed ME- a voter, not as a spouse. Therein lies my anger.

To be fair, I don’t like sex scandals or any other type of scandalous stuff...

We agree. What's the old saw about wrestling a pig in the mud? After a while, you realize the pig likes it. No, I'm not calling Trump or Cruz a pig, I'm talking about the real winner of this slimefest.

This style of campaign plays into Hillary's hands, IMHO. She likes it down and dirty, that's where a lot of her base lives. Republicans are much more likely to stay home in disgust than Democrats, who don't care so much about morals and ethics.

Yep, it’s kind of hard to picture Ted Cruz as a Clintonesque hound dog.

The story came from trump’s close friends, mr pecker and r stone. So Cruz attacked the source trump. This has been sop for awhile someone get close to trump in the polls, they are smeared, see Fiorina, Carson, Cruz birther 1, now Cruz sex scandal.

Spare us the innocence angle with trump.

Good heavens, the Cruzbots sound like the Clinton worshipers. Of course, extramarital affairs matter. Our national security is at stake. What’s wrong with these people?

Cruz’s words only make sense if we understand that Stone is famous for ratff***ing, a term of art in politics for doing dirty tricks on your opponents. The term ratf***inh, possibly of military origins, entered politics via the Nixon administration.

The hypocrisy of the Clintons was the so-called feminism while they enabled him to harass women, rape women and then Hillary would call out the dogs to slut-shame them in public for their silence.

Now we have Cruz, who is the literal incarnation of Elmer Gantry.

Hard to believe this is all fabricated.

Keep saying Trump, it’s helping somebody.

What about the $500,000 to Carly Fiorina? That is not going away. Hush money?

Teddy was dipping his dog in dirty whiskey, and now the bill is due.

This excuses nothing, but explains everything, and oddly, I have sympathy I didn’t have before.

I think you have your facts mixed up. IT is the Cruz campaign that is down and dirty. Trump has run a clean campaign. Shall we mention Iowa?
