Now, the entire saga takes a somewhat conformational twist.

If guilty he had another course of action, had he been humble enough to take it. He and Heidi and maybe his pastor could have sat down with a friendly reporter, talked about “problems” in their marriage, said he’d asked Heidi’s and God’s forgiveness, etc. If he knew the story was coming out, he could have even done it in advance, off the record, and had the interview ready to go if/when the story broke. After Bill and Hill it would have been tricky but it might have worked. People love a repentant sinner, and after that what could the media do? To continue discussing it would have been piling on and Cruz would have been the victim.
But he didn’t do that and now he’s boxed himself in. He tried to deflect, which seems to be his instinctive response when in trouble, but in doing so he’s given impetus to legions of Trump supporters who are digging for dirt and publishing it all over the blogosphere and social media in the hopes of pushing Cruz out of the campaign.

Having a libel suit keeps it in the news; and opens up discovery.
There may be cans of worms as well as beans to be spilled.
He may still be a good “Vice” President.

The NE didn’t name names, the blacked out the eyes of the women and digitized the faces, plausibility deniability to dodge lawsuits.

I didn’t have a theory - just thought the lack of coverage is weird. It’s not like Drudge is in the tank for Cruz or anything.
It will fade if this is all there is, but I don’t think the NE would have dared to publish in the middle of a raging hot election season if they didn’t feel they were on pretty solid ground. Too much potential down side.
This reporter’s modus operandi with these types of stories is to publish part of the information, wait for the subjects to deny, then hit them with the rest. I don’t think this genie’s going back in the bottle.
That site was excellent during the George Zimmerman trial. The owner had some good sources and there were a lot of LEOs and lawyers posting there. Then something happened and they went off the wall on some other topics. I lost interest when I never could get the ‘like’ button to work.
Gossip? I do not think that word means what you think it means.
Perhaps this is why Cruz has not denied it and has created the distraction of the “wives feud.”
But then when your whole campaign is imploding all you can do is toss out stuff to see what sticks.

what does that tell you ? It tells you the mainstream media as the GOPe( Jeb,Graham etc) both are for Cruz. They know Cruz is not a Conservative . Because the media and Gope are always against conservatives

I read once that every phone taken with a GPS-equipped phone, embeds location information into the metadata about the photo. If that's true, one should be able to pinpoint exactly where that photo was taken.
