PROOF=> Ted Cruz Cheating Scandal Not Linked to Trump Campaign – Was Started by GOP Elites
Gateway Pundit ^ | March 25, 2016 | Jim Hoft

Posted on 03/25/2016 9:40:59 PM PDT by bobsunshine

The National Enquirer published a story this week accusing Texas Senator Ted Cruz of multiple extramarital affairs.

.....

It was discovered that weeks ago a large number of Marco Rubio operatives and supporters were trying to bring the sex scandal story to the MSM attention.

Under the open guise of #TheThing they were communicating via various twitter feeds and following along to see if the story had been picked up. Most of the activity was centered around March 10th – March 15th.

Yesterday the hashtag CruzSexScandal went viral. Today, many of those DC operatives, participants, supporters, consultants, Super-PAC’s and campaign advisors have spent a great deal of time deleting their (The Thing) participation. The peak of their scrubbing coincided with Senator Ted Cruz accusing Donald Trump of planting the story.

......

Virtually everyone in the blog-o-sphere who supported Marco Rubio was active, tweeting, re-tweeting, or following the events related to #TheThing. Now they’re running for cover and trying to hide their fingerprints.

Anti-Trump Republican operative Rick Wilson tweeted this out weeks ago. (He has since deleted it.)

There are millions and millions of dollars floating around this cycle. You don’t think some of those dollars were spent for paid bloggers? Also, FR has always attracted its share of operatives and campaign insiders.

The barrier to entry at FR is set very low. So its easy to join regardless of your motivation or intentions. For the most part that works well. We get brilliant insights from folks who would otherwise not be heard from. We also hear from a fair share of fools, and we do have our villains.

Quite the hit piece. From the NE on Jeb Bush from 28 Sept:
When did Jeb go down?

First paragraph;
“After multimillionaire White House hopeful Jeb Bush told Americans they “need to work longer hours,” his troubled daughter, Noelle, has been caught by The National ENQUIRER loafing on the job!”

Ooo, I’m all a-quiver.

Both Killary and the GOPe gain from this disaster. They are a team.

How about a more pedestrian theory? We tend to ascribe political motives to everything where there might be other motives. Like money. NE and other organizations pay handsomely for salacious info on people in the public eye.

One thing that struck me about the actual NE story is that they had details about the alleged liason(s). That would seem to indicate access to someone with firsthand knowledge. One motivating factor may be someone cashing in.

I think Cruz's problem is that he just might be a Myers-Briggs INTJ.

Capable of amazing intellectual insights, but come across as cold and uncaring; and often capable of astounding social gaffes.

Didn't he have any idea how this would sound, once it was taken out of context?

"Donald Trump may be a rat, but I have no desire to copulate with him.”

I mean, don't you think we should keep him away from Disneyland, just in case?

I believe that some time ago I put forth the notion that Mr Cruz would come to a bad end for taking the name of the Lord God in vain.
This, as a self-serving VANITY.

DC whispers ran a story confirming your assessment.
It was here last night.
Ted Bush and his sleazy campaign manager knew
this scandal was breaking from Rubio ex staff and there strategy was to blame Trump and not the true source Rubio.
Jeff the campaign manager is pure scum.
That is why all the paid Cruz trolls were swarming here last night .
The Cruz campaign is the dirtiest group
since Nixon .

The GOP promised Ted the world if he would go along with their "anyone but Trump" narrative. Hence all the endorsements and backing. However they never had any intention of allowing Ted to be the nominee. They are continuing to use Ted, who seems only to willing to go along with it thinking it might lessen the damage done to him if he can blame someone else for what he has done.

It could also be that he is promised, in a few years, after the heat dies down they will do him some political favours so his career is not totally destroyed.

as a Trump supporter with a day to digest this...it's a very troubling situation.

Katich obviously has the most to gain by the GOPe trying to take out Cruz and Trump with one swing of the hammer.

But why did Cruz so quickly play into the “blame Trump” narrative and start in on the ultra-bizarre rat copulation comments?

I'm beginning to think MOST of the NE story is BS based on very thin rumors, with perhaps one solid lead in it clouded with BS. But why risk financial fallout naming innocent people (especially in the wake of the Gawker verdict)??

Why did Cruz give such a parsed rebuttal?

This thing is much more troubling than any potential infidelity.

And could explain why Katich has been so brazenly confident for so long....

Now Teddie can finally understand the fable about the Turtle and the scorpion. They do what scorpions do even to those that help them.

I understand what you’re saying and agree on most of your points.

What bugs me is the scorched-earth, wanton lack of care for truth or common decency - by the PUBLIC.

I don’t want a pastor-in-chief but it does give me serious pause if a man who calls himself Christian doesn’t even know that he’s not perfect. Especially because I know that the only thing that can save America at this point is divine intervention. I somehow think that the American Revolution might have ended differently if George Washington had not truly been relying on God. And we’re facing a heckuva lot worse than George Washington faced, because our populace is deceived on nearly everything and doesn’t even care.

Cruz owes Trump a BIG TIME apology.

Cruz is a without a soul, Harvard Lawyer, and they are not capable of apologizing. They can only blame others for what they do. Look at Obama and Mitt as examples of Harvard Lawyers.

Oh, go pet yourself with that nonsense! I am sure I could inspect your life, or Trump’s or anybody you support, and scream about every possible negative, inventing a few along the way....then I could hide behind my mommy’s skirts by whining, “you are damaging yourself, not me!!”

Start talking about why the hell I should vote for Trump instead of doing your best to keep me from voting for Cruz.
