PROOF=> Ted Cruz Cheating Scandal Not Linked to Trump Campaign – Was Started by GOP Elites
Gateway Pundit ^ | March 25, 2016 | Jim Hoft

Posted on 03/25/2016 9:40:59 PM PDT by bobsunshine

The National Enquirer published a story this week accusing Texas Senator Ted Cruz of multiple extramarital affairs.

.....

It was discovered that weeks ago a large number of Marco Rubio operatives and supporters were trying to bring the sex scandal story to the MSM attention.

Under the open guise of #TheThing they were communicating via various twitter feeds and following along to see if the story had been picked up. Most of the activity was centered around March 10th – March 15th.

Yesterday the hashtag CruzSexScandal went viral. Today, many of those DC operatives, participants, supporters, consultants, Super-PAC’s and campaign advisors have spent a great deal of time deleting their (The Thing) participation. The peak of their scrubbing coincided with Senator Ted Cruz accusing Donald Trump of planting the story.

......

Virtually everyone in the blog-o-sphere who supported Marco Rubio was active, tweeting, re-tweeting, or following the events related to #TheThing. Now they’re running for cover and trying to hide their fingerprints.

Anti-Trump Republican operative Rick Wilson tweeted this out weeks ago. (He has since deleted it.)

--I can just imagine Cruz this evening, huddled up in the fetal position in the corner of his hotel room, drooling on himself and babbling deliriously...

It seemed to me, that with his vow to play spoiler to the bitter end, Cruz thought he had some sort of deal if he managed to take it to a contested/brokered convention - all w/o considering that he would be betrayed too. deal with slime, sink in slime. Let’s hope he hasn’t managed to put Hillary in the WH.

"and weirdly Cruz goes RIGHT after Trump. Strange that unless it's part of the plan to pin it on Donald."

Very weird indeed.... unless Ted knew this was going to come out sooner or later so he does a deal with his new BFF's to try to "control" the situation by deflecting attention away from the story and try only to attack the messenger. He is promised after a few years they will throw him a bone so his career is not totally over.

ok I admit I am a total cynic

Yes,the evangelicals saw through him. It was the anti Christian Mormons who voted for Ted.

Oh the irony. Ted was Cruzified on Good Friday.

But the similarity ends there. In this story, you won’t find a Wise Man or a Virgin. ;-)

This was set by Romney and Rubio, and yet the ever-stupid,
hush money-paying, Sen. Goldman Cruz blamed ... Mr. Trump.

Cruz is an idiot.
1. Voted to move ObamaTRADE along for his wife.
2. Spoke up to defend Soros, Ayers and their violence.
3. Cheated in every primary (and got caught repeatedly).
4. Cheated like a hot whore in heat and could not accept
responsibility, but blamed ... Mr. Trump.

This is hard to keep up with.

Over the past couple weeks, everything proved that Cruz was and always had been gope. Now the gope releases this against him?

So Cruz wasn’t gope? Or he was for the last few years and now isn’t? Or he still is and this is all part of the plan to deny trump the nomination?

Or, could someone ping me when FR returns to conservatism and thoughtful analysis...

The race is over and there is no way Cruz can win. Nobody would be surprised if these accusations are true and it is becoming more obvious that they are. Face it, your messiah is a fraud and you have been warned ever since Iowa.

LOL. I don’t think there is a human on earth that hasn’t sinned this week

you are pro-life right? Well millions of babies and toddlers have not sinned this week, this month, this year... And yet are they not human beings?

Yer welcome, bud. Just so’s you know, it pained me to post that. You’re an excellent wordsmith.

I personally think someone has tinkered with autocorrect. I have had posts where I watched myself type in the correct word, spelled correctly, and yet th e final post had some nonsensical word in its place.

I have also seen autocorrect overwrite my change *five* times in a row.

Doughty, you're fine in my book.

I agree. This whole thing gives me the willies. Can’t help but think the GOPe is involved in some why. What’s more troubling is voters being so easily manipulated by these shenanigans.

That’s my feeling too..To bad Trump and Cruz couldn’t ally themselves but I don’t think that’s possible anymore.

“I didn’t think it possible, but the republicans keep getting more and more stupid!”......

With the GOP orchestrating the plot, Rubio’s following spreads a degrading story about Cruz, Crus thinks its Donald who spread the story, the story takes legs and the fight is on. Who stands to gain on either side, Trump or Cruz? Neither! On the other hand, we all know that Rubio, affectionately known as “Foam Boy”, was the last remaining hope of the GOP (Remember the Gang of 8?) If neither Cruz or Trump win enough delegates to win the contest, cue bringing in their boy Little Marco. Seems highly probable.

I agree with you that us Trumpers are going out on a limb. I’m most uncomfortable with what is going on. This smells more like a GOPe trick than anything Cruz or Trump have done to each other.

But to imply the fervor is all one sided is disingenuous. Pro-Cruz people along with pro-Trump have been mutually nasty. There are no lack of claims from pro-Trump folks never to vote for Cruz and vice versa.

Do bad both sides are burning bridges at such a fast rate. There will be nothing left for either side when the dust clears.

But plenty of Pharisees...

It reminds me of Monty Python and the Holy Grail:

"The Unholy Hand Grenade...!"

"Consult the book of Adulterers!

"Five shall be the number of thy bimbos; and the number of thy bimbos shall be five..."

When the hooker dressed like a judge for Ted, was he imagining Elena Kagan or Ruth Bader Ginsburg? ;-)

As well as the new hash tag party going with ‘Christians’ led by that hater Deace.

You have him pegged. His brand of stirring up "evangelicals" and then standing back to watch the fun (and collect a paycheck) screwed things up in Iowa for a long time, but now he's both "bad (in the worst sense) and nationwide."

And now this story comes out, and before I can even figure out what happened, the usual suspects are screaming that it’s all Trump’s fault that this story broke. And right after that, Cruz blames Trump for it. ...you think that this is campaign ops? It’s just too much of a coincidence for me to accept as a coincidence.

i think so based solely on the fact that Cruz skipped the enquirer story completely and blamed it on Donald. No "If the Enquirer doesn't withdraw this story I will sue them for libel". This is classic libel...IF it's not true or provable. The fact that Cruz isn't saying either means it is true OR he knows it's not true and is using it as a campaign trick to impugn Trump. He (Cruz) has the best of the Washington slime machine taking over his campaign now.
