Cruz's college roommate is on an epic 10-month Twitter rant

Mazin has seriously kicked it up a notch since Cruz launched his presidential campaign in March 2015 and has been one of his most vocal critics. There are personal shots from their time together 25 years ago, but he also weighs in on Cruz’s positions as they relate to the presidential campaign.

The hatred clearly runs deep.

“I would rather have anybody else be the president of the United States,” Mazin told the Daily Beast in 2013. “Anyone. I would rather pick somebody from the phone book.”

He’s also called Cruz “a nightmare of a human being.”

“I have plenty of problems with his politics, but truthfully his personality is so awful that 99 percent of why I hate him is just his personality,” Mazin said on the Scriptnotes podcast in October 2013. “If he agreed with me on every issue, I would hate him only one percent less.”

Mazin isn’t alone in his dislike of Cruz, as Donald Trump has called him a “nasty guy” while saying “nobody gets along with Ted.

Ted is only a few years older than me. I assume you had no choice who your roomie was in college as I would have had one if I stayed at the campus I attended. And a term is 5 months max. So after all this time he still has a hiss fit?

.but we were told that Ted is hated by his fellow senators because he is a ‘principled conservative’. /s

Well, he isn't roomies with them, so that isn't it.

Maybe it is his politics.

So Trump hasn’t denounced this guy so he endorses him. Sounds like Trump is responsible for this crackpot.

You didn't read the article, did you?

Try again.

Every roommate plus person who knew Cruz in college says the same. It is not one roommate like you’d like to make it.

It is the students at “ both Harvard and Princeton” who knew him. They could not stand the creep.

It’s pretty obvious that personally Cruz is a complete douche bag. It’s only weird that there are people who can’t see that. He would be absolutely destroyed in a general election campaign.

Cruz is 46 years old.

So you’re saying some 46 year old out there spends
all his waking hours on Twitter?

Speaking of endorsements, here's Trump in 2013 touting communist Bill de Blasio for mayor of New York City...

October, 2013 (Trump was 67 years-old at the time):

Fred Dicker: What is it going to mean for Donald Trump to have Bill de Blasio as [New York City] Mayor? "

Donald Trump: "He's a smart guy that knows what's going on really big league and I think he is not going to want to destroy New York."

(Voice Over: That was Donald Trump a little over two years ago, endorsing [Marxist] Bill de Blasio for New York Mayor)

Donald Trump: "I think pretty strongly that he'll end up being a good mayor, maybe a very good mayor."

(Voice Over: De Blasio ran on class warfare, sanctuary cities and ending stop and frisk. De Blasio's sided with looters and cop killers against the police, with teachers unions against schoolchildren and with PC liberals to let the homeless run wild on city streets)

Donald Trump: "I think he is going to want to make New York great. ..."

Meet the Press, 1999:

Russert asked Trump about gay marriage. Trump didn't want to comment on it, but said he has no problem with gays in the military.

He explained, "I've lived in New York City and Manhattan all my life, okay? So my views are a little bit different than if I lived in Iowa."

When Russert asked Trump about abortion, he said he's "pro-choice in every respect" and again cited his New York background, which he said has a "different attitude" from most of the country

Did you read the tweets? Sounds like the Hollywood screenwriter is a petty little twerp. Absolutely nothing of substance there, except roommates who didn’t like each other.

I’m not very sad that “every student at Harvard and Princeton” couldn’t stand Ted Cruz (if that kind of blanket statement is even verifiable).

Nope, not sad one bit students at those leftist cesspools couldn’t stand him.

Who cares what this liberal fruitcake has to say, about anything. Why would you even post this garbage here?

I guess you missed the part where the guy says politics constitute only 1% of what he finds objectionable about Cruz. Face it, Cruz is an insufferable, miserable jerk of a human being whom no one can stand, even if they agree with him 100% politically.
