Mazin has seriously kicked it up a notch since Cruz launched his presidential campaign in March 2015 and has been one of his most vocal critics. There are personal shots from their time together 25 years ago, but he also weighs in on Cruz’s positions as they relate to the presidential campaign.
The hatred clearly runs deep.
“I would rather have anybody else be the president of the United States,” Mazin told the Daily Beast in 2013. “Anyone. I would rather pick somebody from the phone book.”
He’s also called Cruz “a nightmare of a human being.”
“I have plenty of problems with his politics, but truthfully his personality is so awful that 99 percent of why I hate him is just his personality,” Mazin said on the Scriptnotes podcast in October 2013. “If he agreed with me on every issue, I would hate him only one percent less.”
Mazin isn’t alone in his dislike of Cruz, as Donald Trump has called him a “nasty guy” while saying “nobody gets along with Ted.

I despised my first college roommate (and the feeling was mutual). But I doubt I’d dump on him after 25 years ( or 40 as the case may be).
So Trump hasn’t denounced this guy so he endorses him. Sounds like Trump is responsible for this crackpot.

Unless there was a felony involved if you still bear this bad of a grudge after this long then you have a problem.

As a Trump supporter I still ain’t out much weight into someone’s vapid tweet/twit/twat or whatever you want to call that mindless so called “media tool” void of any real content other than to one up someone with a snide remark. The tool in fact is void of any ounce of intellect.
To the point of the former roommate where was he screeching when Cruz ran for and became a Senator? Where was he when he railroaded the government on their spending bills? If he didn’t agree with those actions then it clearly tells me the so called disenfranchised roommate sided with Obambi and the GOPe go along to get along crowd.
I won’t pretend to support everything Cruz does however the reason he is most hated is because over the time he has been in he has fought against the GOPe and their wreck less spending. All the while taking pot shots from our beloved media and the likes of McLame and Grahamnesty

I am not a Cruz supporter (anymore) but this guy, with all his vitriol, has to be a Leftist Obamabot. Why would any Republican listen to him??? Can anyone say ‘15 minutes of fame?’.....I knew you could.

I will say this. At least there really IS a college roommate, associate, colleague, acquaintance, etc. that even remembers Ted and offers an opinion either way. One would be hard put indeed to find anything that remotely relates to such opinion of our dear leader Imam Barack Hussein.
