No evidence - beyond common sense, Econ 101, and every business that ever existed. On the demand curve, as P goes up, Q goes down. But it doesn't work for Obamacare, since that purchase is supposed to be mandatory. Perhaps they can make hiring mandatory too. That'll work.

Let’s be clear. If a McDonalds employs 30 people at $8 per hour and the wages are raised to $12, McDonalds installs self-serve kiosks and has 5 people employed at $12, meaning a layoff of 25 people. But, the five working are making $12. See? Everybody wins!!!!!

Hillary (and Bernie) can say crap like this because the Stupid Party will never rebut it.

The RNC should be out there with ads showing a black teenager with no previous work experience getting turned down for a job because the employer can't pay him $15 an hour.

IF the people of the United States of America would vote Obama into office twice, then there is every possibility the people of the United States of America will vote Hillaridiot into office as well.

That FACT scares me.

Unfortunately, we do not live in the pure supply-demand economics. There are a lot of constraints, both natural and artificial. This econ 101 is surpassed by econ 201.

Perhaps they can make hiring mandatory too. That'll work.

What the minimum wage does is, it makes people whose skills are worth less than the minimum wage unemployable. It ends up making people with low skills unemployable, a population segment usually consisting of young people who haven't yet acquired job skills.

If the government were to force employers to hire people with low skills at wage levels more than they're worth, they'd be crushed by their competition, especially in an age when we're competing with cheap foreign labor.

So how do businesses stay in business when one of their costs is arbitrarily raised by government and their expenses suddenly exceed revenue?

Obviously, they were under capitalized...

"I can't be responsible for every undercapitalized entrepreneur in America," Mrs. Clinton said in 1993,"

I say raise it to $19 trillion per hour. Theoretically, with increased tax revenue, we could pay off the national debt by eob Thursday.

Minimum wage increases leaps like what happened in seattle also serve to compress the wage range within the blue collar spectrum. Wage increases have been stagnant for several years which means that blue collar workers have less to spend and less purchase power for the dollars they can spend. There's less incentive to work harder when you know that there's no commensurate reward, and there's more resentment when less skilled workers are being rewarded (for no reason other than showing up) and you're not.

Adjustments to the workforce are already taking place which would dispute what killary is spouting. What a "worker's paradise" these morons have cooked up!
