Hillary Clinton: ‘No Evidence’ to Suggest Raising the Minimum Wage Kills Jobs
Washington Free Beacon ^ | 3/22/16 | David Rutz

Posted on 03/22/2016 5:24:52 PM PDT by Nachum

Democratic frontrunner Hillary Clinton claimed Tuesday there is “no evidence” to prove raising the minimum wage costs jobs. “I also want to raise the minimum wage, and I support the effort here in Washington state to do that,” Clinton said at a rally in Everett, Washington. “There is no evidence that the minimum wage being increased costs jobs, so I’m supporting what you’re trying to do here, and I want to raise it across the country.” Clinton favors a $12 per hour minimum wage, 20 percent less than the $15 an hour desired by socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders (I., Vt.).

Ya I was thinking that too. If there’s no impact of raising the minimum wage, make the minimum wage $1,000,000 per year. Then everyone will be a millionaire.

Well then, let’s raise it to 20 dollars/hour.

Or how about 25 dollars/hour?

Even 30 dollars/hour.

etc. etc.

So how do businesses stay in business when one of their costs is arbitrarily raised by government and their expenses suddenly exceed revenue?

I’m not clear on the concept. If she wants $12 per hour compared to Bernie’s $15 per hour, she must think $12 is better. But if she thinks there is no effect from raising the minimum wage, why not go to $15 or $20 or $50 or ....? Liberals never let clear evidence that their ideas are bogus, sway them from what they “feel” is right.

Hillary's lost her mind. -- "Note for a moment do I take you for a truth that is real,' Ivan exclaimed in what even amounted to fury. 'You are a falsehood, you are my illness, you are a ghost. Only I do not know how to destroy you, and perceive that for a certain time I must suffer you. You are a hallucination I am having. You are the embodiment of myself, but only of one side of me ... of my thoughts and emotions, though only those that are most loathsome and stupid. In that regard you might even be of interest to me, if only I had time to throw away on you ...". --- Fyodor Mikhaylovich Dostoyevsky (Russian: Фёдор Михайлович Достоевский), sometimes transliterated Dostoevsky, was a Russian novelist, journalist, and short-story writer whose psychological penetration into the human soul had a profound influence on the 20th Century....(Amazon)

I agree.
They’re both showing signs of senility pretty early.
BJ and Hill are both my age (late 60s).

I remember when Bob Kerry called BJ an “unusually good liar”.
But as his memory fails, he just looks stupid.

...not evidence seems to be her battle cry...

Just a few Clinton excuses...

I dont recall.

At this point, what does it matter?

We didnt do anything wrong.

We didnt know we were doing anything wrong.

You cant prove we knew we were doing anything wrong.

Theres no evidence of any wrongdoing.

There is no controlling legal authority.

Thats old news. It’s all been gone over in the last few weeks/ months/ years.

I would never do that.

Nobody does that
Everybody does that.

Ah hah hah hahahahaha

Businesses exist not to “create jobs” but to create value and maximize profits for the owners.

Minimum wages creates unnatural floor on expenses so the businesses’ costs go up for no market reasons. Similarly, maximum wages — as proposed by populists and soon to be in their agenda — also costs businesses from hiring the best managers and operators.

Eventually, all these minimum-wage “jobs” will be automated. Good luck protesting. And keep voting Trump, he will certainly bring those jobs “back”.
