NY Times ^ | March 21, 2016 | ASHLEY PARKER and MAGGIE HABERMAN

Mr. Trump’s whirlwind day in Washington — part of his effort to demonstrate that he is running a serious presidential campaign — took him from an imposing law firm to a news conference at a hotel he is building here to a much-anticipated policy speech before a pro-Israel group, all with the Manhattan businessman’s characteristic mix of panache, policy and showmanship.

They had to get snarky,though.

“The meeting at The Washington Post was not entirely a success: The paper’s opinion deputy digital director, Karen Attiah, took to Twitter to say that Mr. Trump had “hit on” her there. She later explained, in a column, that he had responded to her questions on policy by saying, “I hope I answered your question,” and adding, “Beautiful.”

I’m a woman and in my day that would have been considered a compliment and been answered with, “Well thank you very much, sir”

God,I hate feminists.

Oddly non-negative. The little shots were there ... but it almost approached, dare I say, journalism. Almost.

Oh the curses...

He said “Beautiful” to me. Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa...

I’ll have to take a week off to feel better.

GAK!

Rather snarky report but what can one expect from the NYT. Not a mention of the NUMEROUS STANDING OVATIONS for Donald Trump. Only a mention in passing of cheers on one point. It was a resounding success and exceeded Hillary’s content, warmth, cohesiveness, and delivery. An excellent speech by Trump.

The Times doesn’t know where they are. Washington DC is our nation’s CAPITOL!
But then the idiots that pass for journalists today can’t even spell it would seem.

No problem. I remember that one from when I was a kid. Capitol is the building because of the “o” in capitol and has a round dome. It was one of the things the nuns taught us.

Anyone who has watched a few of Trump's rallies or interviews knows that isn't the way he uses the word "beautiful". At least I don't think so ...

I have heard him says things like, that's a cool shirt you've got there ... beautiful.

... or aren't these some great homemade signs ... beautiful.

When he is talking to a woman about her beauty, and he has when taking pics, he says something along the lines ... is that your wife? wow, what a beautiful woman.

I think he was talking about the question she asked, which was a policy question. Did you like the way I answered your question ... beautiful.

Being the center of her own self's universe, she automatically assumed he was talking to her and about her no so noticeable beauty in my mind.

Plus the fact if he actually did refer her to as beautiful, when does that equate to coming onto someone? Personally, I think he has better taste.
