Kasich says he's 'willing to listen' if Cruz wants to make a deal
Washington Examiner ^ | March 20, 2016 | Jacqueline Klimas

Ohio Gov. John Kasich on Sunday did not rule out making a deal with Texas Sen. Ted Cruz to win enough delegates between them to force a contested convention, but said he is focused on winning the presidency himself.
.
.
"I'm not in the this to stop somebody," Kasich said.

"I'm the only one who can win in the fall," he said, adding that he believes he is candidate most qualified to be president.

‘Willing to listen’, but he is not running for Veep {wink, wink, nod, nod}.

==

Kasich is staying in the race in hopes that neither Trump nor Cruz can attain the magic 1237 — without his few delegates. Then, he plans to negotiate for the veep slot.

One fly in the ointment might be the unbound delegates. There are currently more of them than what Kasich has. Trump or Cruz might get the 1237 by negotiating with them.

Imagine being an unbound — steak on a plane? or a helo ride? or a promise of a night in the Lincoln Bedroom? and a weekend — or a whole week — in the executive suite of the Trump hotel of your choice. What’s a little bribery among friends anyway?

The polls, however, say he is right. He does the best against either Sanders or Clinton.

I don’t vote for liberals, progressives, socialist, democrats, those who are mentally unstable or who have severe personality disorders regardless of what party label they run under.

Cruz doesn’t need to make a deal with any one.

Cruz get ALL Utah’s delegates Tuesday, and has a very good shot at Arizona as well.

If this happens, Kasich will see his feeble support evaporate at an ever increasing rate. Cruz will have all the momentum he needs to nearly run the board through June.

A large fraction of the US population has never heard of Kasich.

Kasich needs to suspend his campaign pronto so it comes down to Cruz versus Trump mano a mano, where Cruz trump's tRump.

There is no win here.

If Cruz agrees to be vp, Cruz supporters will not suddenly support liberal kasick. They will just see kasick in new light.

And if Cruz chooses kasich as vp, same thing. Cruz supporters will eye Cruz a little more suspiciously while kasich supporters are not likely to support Cruz.

I agree Cruz should make a deal with Trump.

Their ideologies are similar. Trump has consistently torched this bridge.

I find his choice of the word “somebody” rather than “anybody” most revealing. One purpose: slow down TRUMP. It could not be any more obvious.

F***ING Liar. Rank and file republicans, independents and the Reagan democrats have picked Donald Trump over all challengers to lead the GOP ticket. Now this losing last-place establishment puppet wants to hijack the convention to make sure the open borders Wall Street Lobby stays in power?

Ain't gonna happen Puppet. Trump supporters will burn the GOP house down by not voting for any republican. And you seditious bought-off establishment A/Hs will have a lot to think about when you are out of power...for a long, long time.

If the GOP convention finds a way to steal the election from Trump and give it to Kasich or one of their own...

We're NOT going to fall for the 'but, but, but YOU MUST STOP Hillary from appointing Supreme Court Justices'...

Why?

Because Kasich and the rest of the GOPe would appoint the same liberal types... it's the last power the GOPe thinks they holds over us - - and we're NOT gonna give it to 'em.

If the GOPe steals the election I'm NOT voting for the fill in...

Exactly ..I am of the belief that the GOPe is now running interference for the DIMs ...if Trump is denied, the DIMs have a guaranteed victory with anyone they put up .... the GOPe is more than comfortable with DIM control permanently
