Blacklisted: Drudge, Coulter, Hannity, Carson, Breitbart, O’Reilly, Christie Make GOP Smart Set’s List of ‘Ideological Hustlers’

Conservative movement professionals in Washington, D.C. are plotting to form a “blacklist” of Donald Trump supporters that they can kick out of the movement, never to return.

Several conservative talking heads and Beltway consultant types have been very angry about the rise of businessman Trump, who is pushing for American sovereignty, a reversal of neoconservative foreign policy, and competitive bidding for pharmaceuticals even though the drug companies that fund the Republican Party would take a financial hit.

So far, anti-Trump think pieces referencing William F. Buckley have been ineffective. Memes comparing Trump to Hitler haven’t worked. So these Republicans are getting more Nixon-y. They’re coming out with an Enemies List.

CNN contributor and former Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) spokeswoman Amanda Carpenter volunteered to take the lead in writing the list.

Has anyone compiled the definitive list of conservatives who should be blackballed for supporting Trump? I will if it doesn't exist.

— Amanda Carpenter (@amandacarpenter) March 16, 2016

But Carpenter, who once got called an “idiot” by Donald Trump, did not mention that she formerly defended Trump on numerous occasions. Luckily, savvy Twitter users pointed it out for her in the responses below her tweet.

Carpenter later explained the terms for inclusion on her “blacklist.”

My blacklist is limited to people who have formally endorsed Trump. Not those who simply explain the phenomenon. https://t.co/KrbutWYesO

— Amanda Carpenter (@amandacarpenter) March 17, 2016

Carpenter is not alone in calling for a blacklist. Red State contributing editor Ben Howe said that he has the resources to get a high-tech “blacklist” off the ground, as well as seed money from God knows who in the donor class.

Hillary Clinton or the GOP Nominee will be the Presdinet.

Jeff Session and other Conservatives are part of Trumps Team

There are no Conservatives on Hillary’s team

So don’t posture as if there is any principal involved here. It nothing but petulance that your guy lost the primary.

"...No wonder voters reject Cruz..."

And *all* trump supporters paint with an overly broad brush like you, right? I'm conservative *and* a Cruz supporter, but if Cruz is not the nominee, I will hold my nose and vote *against* the dem regardless. And I also think this "blacklisting" is sophomoric.

But as for voters rejecting a candidate, the following is a big, fat "No!" from the voters as well. Seems your "Recently Reformed Democrat" has a lot of work still to be done to *earn* that nomination, and it's still "iffy" if he can pull it off outright. And you have your part to do as well. Better get busy insulting more voters with your "broad-brush"...

Under their leadership, we have Obamacare, Syrians and Muslims coming in and being settled at taxpayer expense by government, 20+ trillion dollar budget, the weakest military in many many years (ever?), ISIS, the VA is a disaster, Mexicans come across the border like you’d cross a street...YOU are the ones who should be blacklisted, replaced, voted out. Vote out all sitting politicians. Especially lyin’ republicans like this woman and her list

Really? Since when do admitted conservatives vote for a candidate that is middle of the road on abortion and gun rights? Did I miss the memo?

Well if you going to use this “logic” about 82% of voters have voted against Cruz.

The shorter list is the “good” side. Basically anyone who depends on NR for a check.

I did hear Victor Davis Hanson on Laura Ingraham's show this morning, and he has penned a piece favorable to Trump, for NR. She and he had a bit of a discussion about the attitude of the other staff there. I looked for his piece, but no luck so far... must still be in the pipeline.

Meanwhile, the guy they support (Cruz) is fully backed by Jeb Bush, Glenn Beck, Lindsay Graham, plus all the establishment, status quo donors (go look on opensecrets.org)

People like these "blackLISTERS" have turned things upside down and made a mockery of conservatism, calling NAFTA, TPP, crony capitalism, GLOBALISM, export of jobs, etc., CONSERVATISM. That is NOT conservatism.

What actions have they taken to reduce the amount of abortions?

All the Supreme Court's conservatives have been appointed by Republicans, and while the Hyde Amendment blocking federal funding of abortions was in force it was so because of conservatives support - just off the top of my head. What would Trump do?

I’ve ditched many on that list. Trump is a liberal and I have no use for so called “conservatives” who support liberals

When “Washington” starts to think that they are the gatekeepers of a movement, then they are not even close to the movement.
