The Daily Caller ^ | March 17, 2016 | Scott Greer

Posted on 03/17/2016 3:30:46 PM PDT by GeaugaRepublican

The last Super Tuesday in March turned out to be the death knell for Marco Rubio‘s bid for the presidency and another triumphant night for Donald Trump. Trump won at least three contests while denying his biggest threat, Ted Cruz, a single outright victory.

I sick of Rush and all those telling me that Ted Cruz isn't the Establishment

He has no path to win the nomination by votes or EARNED delegates

I don't think taking the nomination from the Establishment is very Conservative

Reagan waited until 1980 to run and win the nomination after losing the first four states to Bush.

Reports about Obama becoming active in the Presidential campaign make it sound like he will not allow indictment of Hitlery out of fear for his “legacy”.

They are just appeasing Cruz as they are hoping that Kasich will start getting more votes.

At the same time, Trump's nomination would forever change the Republican Party and deal a devastating blow to the conservative movement.

I'll agree with the first part of the statement, but the second part is horse manure.

Trump did not borrow from them for his Senate campaign. You remember, Saint Ted told us stupid rubes in Texas that he cashed in the family savings to finance that campaign when he actually got loans from Citi and GS and did not declare them to the FEC as required. As of last week he still refuses to talk to the FEC about those loans. That is Honest Ted for you.

So Don Trump has never taken or borrowed Wall Street money? Hahahahaha!

Why do you insist upon being so intellectually dishonest? You know good and darn well that Trump hasn't taken a dime of Wall Street money in campaign donations. Ted, on the other hand, has.

There's a big difference between taking out business loans (which one pays back), and accepting pure donations for a presidential campaign, but you know that.

Well, that goes without saying, since he’s never been so much as a dog catcher. But you want to install him at the head of our government?

I vote for conservatives. I'm done voting for liberals after I held my nose for that jagoff Snyder.

I will not vote for Trump the liberal. I will vote for Cruz.

You’ve seen all of Trump’s donations? (Yes, he accepts money from donors). Could you share them with us?

He may try, but they’ve already said they’d go public with their findings if they stonewall.

Just like Nixon, he doesn’t have the FBI or the CIA to bail him out.

No Cruz just helped bring down Chris McDaniel and re-elect Thad Cochran. What a conservative Cruz is.

You’ve seen all of Trump’s donations?

You're the one who inferred that Trump 'took' money from Wall Street. Why don't you back it up with some documented facts?

The facts are in on the money Ted got from Wall Street. Care to comment on that?

We said that about Obama.

Which state will Cruz win that Romney did not.

I can’t think of one.

Cruz is clearing his throat, auditioning for the GOPe gods to become the Republican nominee with the best concession speech when Hillary wins. It's all they know how to do.

Nothing Trump has done so far compares to the disgusting, ignorant, tone-deaf, idiotic, insane, and corrupt way the GOPe (and incumbent Republicans in Congress) has screwed over common rank-and-file Republicans - and it wasn't too long ago that Cruz was a nasty, evil TEA Party guy, shunned in the Senate.

Trump is a symptom of GOPe disease, and not a disease himself which needs to be eradicated.

While Trump may not be a polished politician, his message, albeit unpalatable at times, rings true to many disappointed Republicans.

The only "big tent" concept for the GOPe is if Rove gets a new bathrobe. They have been weeping bitterly that they need to find someone who will bring a diverse base to the GOP - well Trump is doing it and they HATE him for it.

The GOPe has attempted political assassination of Trump several times now, to no avail. No matter the outcome, the GOPe needs an overhaul, housecleaning, and reorganization.

Rinse Reince, repeat.

Because I know Trump supporters will have no problem supporting Ted should he somehow pull off a win.

Unfortunately for me that's becoming less likely each day. I wouldn't hold back because of differences between Trump and Cruz or because my guy lost. I'd hold back because I refuse to be part of the uniparty again.

The biggest reason the Republicans think they can get away with stealing our nominee is that they have their Obama or Hillary to threaten us with. We just went through this for 8 yrs because voting for McCain or Romney was lesser of two evils. Turns out it wasn't, it was all one big evil party working together.

The reason the GOP is going with Ted is because he's taking their money and support so they will own him or do already. And they figure we'll all drop the torches and pitchforks to unite and beat Hillary. But again, it wouldn't matter which side won. No thanks, been there, done that.
