As Donald Trump’s detractors grow increasingly loud and desperate, they are aiming their ire at a new target:
The media.
Trump must be stopped, they declare, and it’s the media’s mission to halt him in his tracks.
It’s an argument that fundamentally misreads the role of the press. And it is being made by some generally smart people who are so apoplectic over the prospect of a Trump nomination or Trump presidency that they don’t understand why journalists haven’t convinced the country to despise The Donald the way they do.

In what universe? The "press" has been unabashedly partisan in the country for as long as I can remembers.
It’s not for lack of trying.
Because like most Sociopaths, the self-proclaimed “smartest people in the room” have a total lack of self-awareness: Trump’s ascension is in a great part due to the HATRED of the MSMedia by decent Americans.

Exactly. The era of the mediacracy, where the media set the agenda, determined what was important, and who was a viable candidate and who was not; of the time when the media cartel controlled nearly all the information flow in the United States; is over.
Trump has been able to resonate because he has broken out of the straight-jacket of political correctness imposed by the media cartel.
It seemed to me that they became “unabashed” in the 2008 cycle. In 2012, they decided they were proud of it. For 2016, they are trying to be “involved”. They have lost any little credibility they may have ever had and are despised by anyone paying attention.
Because their lead warrior is a girl?
The media hasn’t even started yet. Just wait until he gets the nomination.
Amazon CEO criticized Trump. Didn't Facebook also come out against Trump? It does support Merkel. What about Google? Have they gotten involved? For some reason I cannot get on two sites through them (Not Found signs pops up) but can get on them through AOL.
The media isn’t waiting or holding on to anything. They don’t want him to even get the nom.
They are so conditioned to attack they can’t even see how it boomerangs on them.
But they dare not shut up about it lest his support grow unimpeded.
Love to see them in a catch 22.

Well, it’s not over yet but hopefully. Remember the old saying about a wounded animal being the most dangerous? They are IT.

I must have seen that little Instagram ad 10 times on the shows last night.
It was probably created by an intern in an hour or so. Cost essentially zero.
They're still showing it today, and it's been linked on nearly every major news source.
The media is fully exposed as shameless propagandists. Their attacks on Trump just add to Trump’s credibility.

The press has been the unofficial PRAVDA of the uni-party establishment for a long time now. The internet broke their information monopoly.
