Cramer: Listen to Donald Trump

Jim Cramer is tired of the horse race. He is sick of hearing whether John Kasich can be a comer because he won his home state, or if Ted Cruz can win enough delegates. For once, Cramer would rather go over what Donald Trump is actually saying, and what he would do if elected President.
"Trump has real things to say. They may not be what you think, and they often seem like wishful thinking. But you need to know his views, not just how he is doing coming around the far turn," the "Mad Money" host said. (Tweet This)
In Cramer's perspective the U.S. has been crushed on almost every single trade deal it has done, going all the way back to Nafta. And every time Cramer has asked an official of either party to name a deal that was signed in the last decade that has given the U.S. a trade surplus, no one could come up with an answer.
For years those who have questioned any of the trade deals has been dismissed as foolish. Now that Trump has said that the U.S. government has been horrendous at negotiating these deals, Cramer has no beef with it.
"Say what you will about Trump, I agree with him about these trade deals," Cramer said.

I think he said no trade deal since nafta has EVER given us a trade surplus. Who wants American goods? Nobody apparently.
Cramer knows this very well. It’s one of his favorite tactics!
Surely, you’re not that clueless to buy that load of BS from him? That means exactly nothing. If he does not divest he still stands to make monetary gains from decisions he will make as President.

I’m fine with Trump on a number of issues. The problem is when he goes off the rails. See ethanol. See Planned Parenthood.

Corp execs used the money flowing out to redistribute to foreign nations to siphon off their cut as it flows out.
Anytime / Anywhere money flows, little bits can be diverted off into their own pockets.
This is why there are so many government agencies, each little bit siphons their bit of power / money off of the giant ballooned budget.
That’s exactly the way to judge it. Perot said it best: “The first question should be ‘Is it good for America?’”.
These companies would still be profitable if made in the USA with American wages - but just not as profitable.

Business is either profitable or they are out of business. Those businesses that we think that make huge profits are only the ones generally that have a monopoly or near monopoly and aren’t affected by competition. Government regulation often limits competition and gives a big advantage to large companies which just increases prices.
Adam Smith said it best:

But the verdict is in, and the answer is nyet.
That said, during World War II Detroit's car lines were converted to tanks production. Could we do that today AND get the parts we needed within the United States to fight a war?
In a war - possible with China or Iran - we would be forced to order military equipment from our enemies... An Not a snowballs chance in hell China would fill our orders.
All tax cut plans would raise the deficit if you don’t cut spending. We run massive deficits now. What is you solution? Raise taxes so there is not deficit. I like Trump’s plan. It beats the hell out of any plan that adds a VAT.

No cutting spending would be preferable. But Trump has not proposed that. Cut revenue, increase spending, that appears to be his plan and that is a recipe for disaster.

At least Cruz has identified significant spending cuts. Admittedly the cuts are nowhere near as deep as they will need to be but at least he's proposed a start. All Trump has suggested are cuts to EPA and Education, which isn't even nibbling around the edges of what needs to be done.
Trump has not proposed raising spending. Stop getting your panties in a wad over stuff that has not happened. I have heard him say spending needs to be cut. Trump is an ideas guy, he is not a detail oriented, policy nerd like many professional politicians are. He tells his folks what he wants down and lets them present him with detailed plans. No, any VAT sucks. I think only a statist minded dweeb would propose one. I lived in Europe long enough to know we do not want one here. Besides, Cruz lies. A lot. You really can’t go by what he says.
Sure he has. He's talked about raising spending on the military. He's talked about raising spending on infrastructure. He's made it clear that he will not change Social Security or Medicare, which cost more with each passing year.
I have heard him say spending needs to be cut.
But absolutely no specifics.

What good is an idea with no clue as to how to make it happen? And Trump hasn't any idea of how to accomplish any of his proposals.
Besides, Cruz lies. A lot.
So does Trump. A lot.
Cruz let me assume he was American while he was actually a Canadian citizen when I voted for him in 2012. At least I know Trump is 100% NBC American and for America. Cruz is for the GOPe, his donors and the Bushes, which is why he just thanked Romney for his endorsement. Romney is a rock start to people like Cruz.
