Kasich in Pennsylvania: Neither Cruz nor Trump can win in November

VILLANOVA, Penn. — Still vibrating from his home state primary win, Gov. John Kasich (R-Ohio) told crowds in the Philadelphia suburbs that President Obama had blown his chance to get a Supreme Court nominee, and that the two remaining candidates for the Republican nomination would lose the election.

[Kasich wins Ohio with an eye toward a contested convention]

"Neither of those guys can win a general election, so maybe they're spoiling it for the Republican Party and for the conservative movement," Kasich said of Donald Trump and Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Tex.) "It's unlikely that anybody is going to achieve enough delegates to avoid a convention, and for those who worry about a convention, it'll be right in the open. I mean, there's no closed rooms, there's nothing but total transparency . . . and you talk to people in Pennsylvania, they'll tell you, I can win a general election."

I am eager for this traitorous loser to be creamed in the primary just like RUBEio was, and I am also eager to see him either rot in a jail cell or be punished as the Rosenbergs were.

He better be happy he won his home state, because that will be it. It will either be Trump or Cruz going forward.

85-90% of Republican primary voters don’t want him. I’m one of them. He is too liberal.

Note to Kasich:

Pennsylvania is not Ohio.

Nobody here even knows who you are.

Sure he can... wait on it - the guy got 10% of the vote in IL and he tells people with a straight face he can win in November?

He didn’t point out to his PA audience that he - John Kasich - lost all the OH-PA border counties to Trump!

And if elected President Kasich will open the doors and for documented and undocumented Democrats and the democrats will be a permanent majority. We can take a chance on winning with Trump and losing this year. Or we can win with Kasich which means we lose period.

Yeah—and reminisce about Kasich’s bachelor capers at Gary Condit’s love shack.

Yep, but where are you going to go? I don’t know that much about State’s rules, but I think Independents can’t vote in some closed states.

“As ranking member of the Budget Committee, Kasich proposed his own health care reform plan”

That is not even an issue. The issue is immigration and Kasich wants to swamp this country with a permanent Democrat majority. Then what would be the point in anything? Nothing we would do would matter as it would be all over.

One good thing about Kasich is that he is bringing the Cruz and Trump forces together!

True. Here in AZ, you cannot. I registered R so I could vote for Trump. After the primary next week, I am switching to an I.

I don’t understand this. If he didn’t get the signatures in PA, why isn’t he just off the ballot? Why does it matter if someone challenges it?

He’s in Pennsylvania to work through that pesky ballot issue.

Can they just pennsyl his name in? ('
