Breitbart EXCLUSIVE: Newt Gingrich: If Trump Wins Big in Florida, They Won’t Be Able to Stop Him
Breitbart ^ | March 15, 2016 | Patrick Howley

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich tells Breitbart News that if Donald Trump wins big in Florida today, the party “won’t be able to stop him.”

"If Trump gets big numbers in Florida, you’re not going to be able to stop him. You’ll just tear the party apart,” he said.

“If Trump wins Florida by the margin anticipated, then [Sen. Marco] Rubio could stay in just to affect the numbers, but he won’t be a serious candidate anymore,” Gingrich said.

Yep. Pretty much.

Any time the editors of a publication (online, print or on-air) have taken a stated editorial position, that has to weigh on their credibility in campaign commentary.

Just common sense.

If Trump is the nominee, I’ll vote for him - but I’m pretty sure he’ll let us down. He is “flexible” - which means he doesn’t act on principle. Whatever works at the moment. I think everyone who put so much faith in him is going to be very disappointed. I hope I’m wrong. Of course, he could lose to Clinton, in which case, get ready for the end of the U.S.A. for our lifetime.>>>> i disagree i think he acts on principle. you can’t do what he has done just on flexible. I’m hoping and it is a hope that his principle as a president is really our country’s future which i think he does have a heart for. as articluated in defeat common core, stop illegal immigration, stop muslim invasion, take care of vets etc. if our next president does that it will roll back the crap we have for at least 10-20 years. listen to his kids.

With Kasich winning Ohio, I can’t say it’s over just yet. Yes, I said earlier tonight that I expected Trump to get more than 1237 delegates. I still expect that but he could be stopped.

Trump needs about 55% of the remaining delegates.

Greenpapers had Trump doing very well in the loophole primary in Illinois but they took the numbers down. It could drop a point or two from the 55%.

Next week: American Samoa, Arizona, Utah. It could be a Cruz night.

OK, so it dips to about 54%, with 10 more delegates to be chosen in MO and Trump very likely to get 15 more in IL.

Who is left of the GOPe cabal to carry their banner?

Mitt Romney or Jeb Bush. Or Hillary Clinton. What difference at this point does it make?

Neither Romney nor Bush will win under the GOPe banner. It would be the DSOC wing that wins.

Of course.

But that’s how it should always be. A voter must read widely, think it over, investigate for himself, decide what to believe and who to support.

If too few voters do this, the ignorant and uninformed prevail.

Freedom of speech, the press, and freedom to think and choose for myself; thankful for our Bill of Rights.

Exactly. GOPe and Democrat and distinctions without a difference.

Trump is a businessman first. A person in business knows how to negoitiate from strength.. but they still will strike a bargain. I’m ok with that. I think going in strickly on principal means you get nothing done. You get 80% of what you want and you give 20% of what you don’t. That’s a good deal. He’ll make priorities like anyone would. I would be he’ll be tough on immigration(jobs) and tough on trade, but he’ll be more flexible on social issues. If you want him to get rid of Obamacare he won’t, he’ll change it, let’s call it Trumpcare, but he clearly stated he won’t let people die in the streets, I wouldn’t be surprised if he brought some version of public healthcare but he’ll try and do it in a way that is friendly as possible to business. He’s try and grow his way out of a deficit but he’s not a person who’s afraid of debt.

Nifster, it doesn’t hurt to think.

It does hurt to be a nation of puppets. It does hurt a free society to quash opposing viewpoints rather than consider them and refute if necessary (politely, of course).

An echo chamber isn’t a healthy political environment.

Just because I don’t agree with you doesn’t mean I am a puppet or not thoughtful. People make decisions on many things
