Ted Cruz: Donald Trump sees protesters as disloyal people who must be punished
Washington Times ^ | March 14, 2016 | David Sherfinski

Posted on 03/14/2016 10:13:32 AM PDT by Pinkbell

Sen. Ted Cruz said Monday that GOP presidential front-runner Donald Trump views protesters as disloyal people worthy of punishment and that the best response to Mr. Trump is to defeat him at the ballot box, reiterating his own pledge to support the eventual Republican nominee in the fall.

Mr. Cruz re-upped criticism of Mr. Trump for recently having rally attendees pledge their support to him, likening it to an action kings and queens demand of their subjects.

“It’s also reflected in his treatment of protesters, where anyone who’s a protester is disloyal and must be punished,” Mr. Cruz told reporters in Illinois ahead of the March 15 primary there.

“The only pledge that I am interested in, the only hand-raising that I’m interested in is on January 20, 2017, when I hope to raise my right hand with my left hand on the Bible and pledge to each and every one of you that I will preserve, protect [and] defend the Constitution and fight for the hard-working taxpayers,” Mr. Cruz said.

“That is a question the voters are asking: At what point do we say ‘enough is enough?’ ” Mr. Cruz said. “If Donald Trump is the nominee, he is a disaster, and the answer is to beat him.”

The so called protesters are part of an organized internet social media drive by BLM, LaRaza, and George Soros funded moveon.org. No sympathy for the orchestrated protests soever.
And, Ted is trying to capitalize on this organized, premeditated mob.
This is part of the politics as usual from Washington politicians that has people disgusted. Teds tactics are right out of the beltway playbook. Disgusting. Desperate.

Constitution Ted doesn't know about First Amendment rights and HR 372 which was passed in the US Senate by unanimous consent and signed into law by Obama in 2012?

For a bright guy, there's a lot of stuff he doesn't know.

So does your president, Teddy

The government says the anti-protest bill was just a small tweak of the existing law. Don’t believe it.

"For one thing, the law makes it easier for the government to criminalize protest. Period. It is a federal offense, punishable by up to 10 years in prison to protest anywhere the Secret Service might be guarding someone. For another, it’s almost impossible to predict what constitutes “disorderly or disruptive conduct” or what sorts of conduct authorities deem to “impede or disrupt the orderly conduct of Government business or official functions.”

Yes, keep pushing this narrative Ted.

The more you spread it, the faster your journey towards irrelevance will be.

understatement.... disloyal??? I see it as not taking crap from rude intruders or like a petulant teenager that needs a “smack up side the head” to get their attention... Wow.

No wonder his daughter did not want a hug from this creep.

I thought it was against a federal law to disrupt rallies with SS present.

It is sad to watch Teddy Cruz unravel. Maybe the pressure is just too much for him.

Even Rush supported Trump today. Rush has been in the tank for Cruz. He didn’t criticize the other GOP candidates, only the Dems, but at least Rush got this right today.

So Ted Cruz thinks violence at Trump rallies are merely “peaceful protestors”.

Once again, Ted sides with the violent liberals.

Rush defending Cruz right now.

Look how much time the “conservative” media spends defending Cruz. Not hard to see the divide and conquer conservative agenda there. Oldest page in the GOPe playbook.
