Seems to me that South Korea, or one of our islands, would have interception capability by now, like Patriot missile or the upgrade.
IF so, we probably would keep it as secret as possible so as not to become a target itself.
Go Navy
[LOL! That was about what it looked like when it came on. Black background with red letters.]
I’m glad you did take off with your Bug Out Bag, emergency water, flashlight, and bottled water, but elected to spend your ‘final hours’ with Free Republic.
Were you watching online too?
ICBM payloads will take less than 30 minutes at that range.
That report may be what gave the person who hacked the website enough motivation to do so. :-) It did scare me. My husband heard it also.
So... did it happen, and did someone shoot it down, and now no one is talking about it?
OK, next time the Norks launch a nuke at us, calm the hell down and pay attention.
It seems you are the one with the proper fillings in their mouth to pick up their super secret encoded transmissions that others miss on the TV.
So next time, stay calm and whatever you do, DO NOT MOVE YOUR MOUTH and lose reception.
A Korean one?
That article is probably what gave the person incentive to hack the website and scare people.
They must not have wound the rubberband tight enough.
Nope! To many Freepers spell like that. :-)
Well, thears that....

<—perhaps connected...?
of course, we’ll be the last to know!~ ;P
I’m sure it did, would give me cause for concern as well.
3 hours. Remember these are North Koreans. They probably sent it the long way around the world. And they are going slow to save gas.
“NORTH KOREA LAUNCHED A NUCLEAR MISSILE AT 3:45? AND IT IS DUE TO HIT THE LOS ANGELES AREA IN ABOUT 3 HOURS”
Reminds me of a childhood incident during WWII. I lived in NYC then and passed by a newstand that displayed the New York Daily News. The headline blared “GERMAN BOMBERS HEADED FOR NEW YORK!”.
I started to run home to tell my dad and about half-way there it suddenly dawned on me that if they had time to set up the type and print the paper, they’d have been here by now.
I turned around and went to the local RKO theater where “Tarzan and the Amazons” was playing.
Thanks for confirming my husband and I weren’t seeing/hearing things.
It's actually a refurbished Japanese WWII era Balloon Bomb -
Since I am no where near LA a figured I had time to spend with the Freepers to find out if true or not. :-)
