New video of Donald Trump’s press conference Tuesday evening shows that the Washington Post’s account of an altercation involving Breitbart News reporter Michelle Fields could not possibly have happened as Ben Terris reported.
In conducting our own due diligence, we have reviewed as much video footage and other evidence as possible, and present it in the interest of transparency.
Contrary to what Donald Trump said Thursday evening after the GOP debate, the incident certainly happened. However, the person who made contact with Fields was likely not Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski.
As Trump campaign spokesperson Katrina Pierson said Thursday on the Fox Business Network, “someone probably did grab her,” i.e. Fields, though Pierson claimed it could not have been Lewandowski.
Audio of the incident, published on Politico, shows Fields asking Terris if the individual who pulled her left arm was, in fact, “Corey.” Terris says it was — an assertion he later repeated in print: “I watched as a man with short-cropped hair and a suit grabbed her arm and yanked her out of the way. He was Corey Lewandowski, Trump’s 41-year-old campaign manager.”
However, Lewandowski was not the only “man with short-cropped hair and a suit” walking near Trump. And he was walking on the opposite side of Trump from Fields, and Terris.
A photograph by Washington Post photographer Jabin Botsford, Terris’s colleague, released by ABC News World News Tonight, and taken seconds before the altercation took place, shows two men with short-cropped hair.

What’s the mystery? The guy who did it knows he did it. Why not just come forward and end this distraction?
Clearly a SS agent grabbed her arm when she rushed Trump and reached out to grab his arm.

Did The Washington Post Lie About The Michelle Fields Incident?

OK Im glad Breitbart did this and it’s very honest. But about a half hour ago Rush Limbaugh went into a commercial break after reporting this incident as being totally true and a problem for Trump, that there is “audio” proving it, etc.
Even IF someone had grabbed this reporter’s arm frankly any man would have just reported the story and not claimed a crime.
But now I’m glad it’s not true, Breitbart is blowing the whistle on its own overly dramatic reporter, and I am done with Rush Limbaugh.
I don’t care if Rush corrects what he said, it was so obvious he was doing a sneaky little anti Trump job as he went into the commercial.
I can listen to Michael Medved (I won’t) if I want to hear that kind of creepy manipulation.

I wonder if this part of a greater plot to force SS to loosen their security and leave him open to a dangerous “incident”.
Even IF the incident happened and an arm was grabbed which is not a big deal...
I was really sickened by what Limbaugh did on the air with this. Really creepy. I listen to him every day though he’s been annoying as he is every primary season.
I swear when I heard him do this and the way he did it, I turned off the radio and said I think I’m done with him. That was low. I couldn’t believe he reported it as fact like that and that it was going to be a problem for Trump.
I think Rush is mature enough to know that someone being grabbed by the arm as a crowd is walking along, is not a serious case of assault, no matter what happened.
Sounds now like the SS agent may have reached forward and pulled her arm away from the candidate. If it was too forceful and she has a bruise, sorry.
This is so weird: The reporter who filed the complaint was a Breitbart reporter. The video that just surfaced proving Corey did not grab the reporter was also revealed in a Breitbart story.

Sounds like the right hand doesn’t know what the left hand is doing at Breitbart.
It worked for me, but Breitbart is always slow and full of ads, so bad that I rarely visit anymore. They don’t care.
. Also, there is likely a lot of traffic at the moment.
Breitbart’s Ben Shapiro was on Megyn Kelly’s show last night attacking Trump over this, he needs to RESIGN.
The good reporters at Breitbart are trying to correct the mistake of the bad ones
