A leading Muslim civil rights group is calling on GOP presidential front-runner Donald Trump to apologize for his claim that "Islam hates us."
In an interview with CNN's Anderson Cooper that aired Wednesday night, Trump was asked whether he thinks Islam is at war with the West.
"I think Islam hates us," Trump responded. "There's a tremendous hatred. We have to get to the bottom of it. There is an unbelievable hatred of us."
The statement drew swift condemnation from the Council on American-Islamic Relations, which called on Trump to apologize for the comment, as it has in response to other comments Trump has made.

BTW, I thought his answer tonight including how women are disadvantaged in Islam contrary to our values was smart. It exposes another portion of the PC defense of Islam.
Here is what Trump needs to do though with the word "hate". He needs to exchange it with "enemy". Is the west the "enemy" of Islam? Is Israel the "enemy" of Islam? Is the US the "enemy" of Islam? Is Christianity the "enemy" of Islam?

no apologies are in order. anyone who blows you up, murders you and your families and friends, knifes you in the public square.... and keeps doing it day after day, year after year......century after century....is a Muslim . See their damned Koran and Hadiths. The nice nice friendly verses date back they say to the beginning of Mo’s career when he was, well, nicer. But the war-making chapters date to his later life...after he became a paid mercenary and war raider...and Islam teaches (quite understandably) that the later parts supersede the nice nice earlier verses.
