Sure they leave, for business or vacations, and then they come back.
Maybe we can get michael moore on the list and hope he doesn’t “sink the island”.
Wow, dat place is really up dere, eh?
Those Hollyweird Lefties will never leave the warm and sunny skies of SoCal for Canada, but at least MM would be used to the weather, being from Michigan........................
While they may or may not get a whole lot of snow, I have to believe that because they're on the Atlantic coast line, fall and winter are probably miserably windy, cold and wet.........
My mother’s family was among the early Irish settlers-—she lived on the southern shore of Cape Breton and taught for several years in their one-room schoolhouse before she came to the U.S.in the 1920s.
.
Gimme Dats wanting more Gimme Dats to come in to gibem dat. Cape Bretton will get what it deserves so I hope they have a plan for buyer’s remorse.
Are we there yet?
Are we there yet?
Grandpa, I gotta pee........LOL!
“Lots of water. I doubt Rosie, Al, Whoopie or Sammy...swim.”
Or bathe.
We saw Scottish settlements in that southern shore as well.
The French Acadian were prior to and separate from the Quebec French. For centuries it was not acknowledged what the British authorities had done. It was such an early case of ethnic cleansing that the first good histories of the events approached it on that basis.
The Scottish, Massachusetts, Irish and other British settlers were brought in to supplant the previous Acadian settlers. The Mi’kmaq indians of Nova Scotia and the Acadian french were the earliest good example of european and native peoples in harmony to the point that after the initial generations there was significant inter-marriage.
All the better that it's Cape Breton Island - really, any of Nova Scotia coastline. Halifax and Yarmouth have some of the most bitterly cold winter weather that I've seen in my life, and I grew up in Maine. It's just brutal. The wind comes right in off the North Atlantic, and bites through whatever gear you're wearing. Nothing worse than a cold, wet, driven, icy wind to take the starch out of you.
So liberals leaving, and being miserable? I call this a win-win.
But, I think that Cape Breton will regret their decision. Certainly, they'll get the worst of it.
These Sociopath’s have a total lack of self-awareness.
They TRULY believe by saying things like this people will suddenly “come to their senses”.....I LOVE watching these animals squirm!
See my post #72, for my opinion, at least.
Perhaps they can rename it ‘Snowflake Island’...
I remember reading “Evangeline” when I was in school-—and the Cajun history also.
Those Brits were tough-—my father in law, born in Ireland in the late 1880s,despised them.
This island must be wealthy.
The chicks swim in the lake with golden btassiers.
That’s a great question!
Oh how I pray they up and leave, taking all their angry rants with them.
My ancestors came to the New World via Sydney, Cape Breton Island. Lots of hardy Scots came through this area after fleeing oppression in Scotland, some settling in the area and others disbursing to points far and wide.
I went back for a family reunion in 2000. It is stunningly beautiful and the people were very nice. Thomas Alva Edison had a large mansion nearby, and there’s lots of other history afoot, like the plight of the Acadians and the French fort that France had to abandon and turn over to England, which I toured.
If not for all the filthy subhuman Canadians, I’d consider moving there.
tell them all borders will be closed immediately after taking the oath of office and all banking transactions as well. Get them out of town as quickly as possible.
