Here’s Why Hillary Clinton Is Unlikely To Be Indicted
Investors Business Daily ^ | 3/8 | Ruth Marcus

For those of you salivating — or trembling — at the thought of Hillary Clinton being clapped in handcuffs as she prepares to deliver her acceptance speech this summer: deep, cleansing breath. Based on the available facts and the relevant precedents, criminal prosecution of Clinton for mishandling classified information in her emails is extraordinarily unlikely.

My exasperation with Clinton’s use of a private email server while secretary of state is long-standing and unabated. Lucky for her, political idiocy is not criminal.

“There are plenty of unattractive facts but not a lot of clear evidence of criminality, and we tend to forget the distinction,” American University law professor Stephen Vladeck, an expert on prosecutions involving classified information, told me. “This is really just a political firestorm, not a criminal case.”

Washington insiders have lots of experience with damage control. Otherwise, they wouldn’t be there.

I’m completely sympathetic to your argument however DC is a cesspool and a den of thieves. Talented lawyers are hard at work as we speak crafting her defense and putting up a smokescreen of distortions, twisted facts and outright lies. Trust me, they know how to circle the wagons in DC.

By all rights, Bill Clinton should have been booted out of office for his dalliance in the Oval Office. His “server” was also revealed. But he was able to finesse and parse his way out of the box with only a few minor scars.

So Team Clinton knows hot to spring into action when called upon. The same people are back working for Hillary and they are armed with experience, money and connections. In the end she may get a little slap on the wrist but will survive politically and, as usual, those who “cooperate” will be rewarded.

Rules only apply to the serfs, amazingly enough she will walk claiming a “babe in woods” defense.

By the way, the agencies are taking care of themselves too. Self-preservation is the number one instinct in a bureaucracy.

As another freeper so aptly put it, Hillary lost the FBI primary.

This article is crap.

Sure, the Clinton cabal has obscured and likely destroyed most of the smoking evidence.

But, any sane person has to ask how Hillary, who had NO other email address, could have conducted Secretary of State business without ever seeing classified information. I haven’t heard a reasonable explanation of this, or any detail on the “other secure channels” she says she used.

This is a case where “absence of evidence” is not “evidence of absence.”

It doesn’t matter. The FBI has been trying her in the court of public opinion. It’s telling that Bernie the communist won Michigan. Her heinous is vulnerable. While the media will continue to be apologists for her, the upcoming leak of the results of the other “prong” of the FBI investigation which covers the tax evasion and bribery will choke a lot of maggots off Hillary’s carcass.

That’s a really excellent point that should disturb Democrat higher ups.

Senior officials who work in federal agencies are ever mindful of the political winds and the potential career consequences of being on the “wrong side of a trade”. They don’t see themselves as corrupt but job security, professional advancement, and retirement consideration weigh heavily on them. Jus sayin...

The author Ruth Marcus is a known Hillary apologist and in her eyes Hillary never commits criminal offenses. Take the article with a grain of salt.

At some point public outrage shapes the discussion. That’s happening with Hillary’s loss in Michigan and the subtle caution in the media. The decision makers in the parties distanced themselves so far from the electorate that the appeal of a Trump or a commie like Bernie is virtually unfathomable.

You’re 100% correct about the CYA imperative.

Michigan was a set back for her, no question about it. Her problem is lack of enthusiasm. Dem turnout is very low and the young people who vote for Bernie see her as establishment, old and too money oriented. They may just stay home in mommy’s basement come November.

The Clintons are so yesterday and she is simply not a likable person, not to mention her widely recognized honesty problem. Her biggest opponent is herself in many respects.

I believe Trump already has a strategy in mind how to defeat her. She is definitely vulnerable.

I’m on record as saying she has two choices once the FBI investigation is complete. The family spokesperson can claim a medical condition has forced her to retire from public life or she will take a dirt nap as prescribed by those that can’t allow her to continue once the extent of the criminality and liability is known.

Either way she’s out as a candidate.

This article has more conclusory statements than one can count. It sets up on the foundation that what matters is Clinton’s intent. The media is,
de facto, re-writing the law such that documents must be marked “confidential” regardless of whether they were in fact top secret or not. The echo chamber is in full gear pimping this version, this article being an example.

My questions are this:

What happened to the agreement she signed that makes all of this BS moot?

She is a lawyer,

She has a law degree but she failed the bar exam and never tried to pass it again. She has never had a license to practice law.

I have no doubt she won’t be indicted. At best she’ll be handled like Petraeus. At worse she’ll get so sick, she’ll have to abandon her candidacy or take a dirt nap when the massive tax evasion and bribery scandal is leaked.

Can’t happen. Won’t happen. The evidence of her criminal actions is so extensive, they’ll need to wheel in file cabinets to hold it all.
