This is a very odd situation.

The establishment hates both Trump and Cruz. Running AGAINST the establishment is what has propelled both Trump and Cruz to the top. Republican establishment hates both of their candidates. Is that not a house divided? I know the ending to that!

How is either one of them going to feel if the establishment gets behind them? Is that not the kiss of death to their campaign?
