Lord Monckton: ‘The Texas Talent Will Replace the Dollar’
San Antonio Tea Party (republished from American Thinker 10/17/15) ^ | Republished from AmericanThinker.com October 17, 2015 | John Griffing

Christopher Monckton, 3rd Viscount Monckton of Brenchley, who advised Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, wrote for the Yorkshire Post, was managing editor of the Telegraph Sunday Magazine, has lectured at faculty level on currency theory and is now a columnist for WND, has long given warnings that the over-borrowing governments of the West are on a course to bankruptcy, from which recovery will not be possible.Monckton has now come out with his personal plan to sideline the collapsing dollar and rescue western markets: a sound and fully asset-backed currency called the Texas Talent. Users of the Talent would trade in their dollars for electronic Talents backed by gold, silver, real-estate, and shares in blue-chip companies. Using the Talent will eliminate the risk of global runs on the dollar and protect foreign investments in the United States.

The Talent will bring all these benefits without stepping on the questionable legal authority of the Federal Reserve, for it is not, strictly speaking, a currency at all. It is “beyond currency.” It is a savings instrument that you can also use for buying goods and services.

Monckton is widely known as a foremost expert in currency matters, and has given numerous interviews on the subject. In a recent commentary, he wrote that dollar collapse is not a matter of “whether but when.”

More than two years ago, he told the publication WorldNetDaily (WND) that the financial collapse of the West was plausible based on its path at the time. He then adjusted the forecast from “plausible” and “likely” to “imminent.”

Specifically, he believes President Obama’s financial policies of unprecedented borrowing and spending, trillion-dollar deficits, and massive outlays for social engineering are an “existential threat.”

Over 80% of Texans live in urban areas—a higher percentage than the national average.

“Several publications have reported that China now owns significant public infrastructure in the contiguous United States and has requested public land and “special economic zones” free from U.S. labor controls as collateral on future loans.”

Sickening at how evil and corrupt our system of unconstitutional government has become, and how this treasonous action (banking cartel) has killed or jailed many patriots like LeVoy and enriched the evil, treasonous politicians like Harry Reid and his children/family/friends. The banking cartel owned vile judges to usurp and destroy many Christian patriots throughout the last 100 years.

I do not like the idea where “cash” is digital and a centralized system has knowledge of all human exchanges. Seems extremely dangerous and totalitarian——no privacy from “government”. Seems very fascist to me to keep track of every single “talent” which will happen in a “cashless/digital” system.

I don’t want any government agency or private corporation to “know” how and where I spend my money-—nor do I want to be in a centralized database where we are tracked like cattle. Without Virtue, there can be no Free Republic (no trust/no economic freedom). Privacy with Virtue is essential in a truly human, just society.

Even in rural America, the ability to survive on subsistence farming has largely disappeared. It was a hard life, and most were glad to leave it behind. People still garden and still put up canned goods, but it’s more of a hobby or nostalgia. I suspect even those remaining who know how to do all these things would be challenged if that was their only source of food.

I thinks “talent” of Texas petroleum engineers/oilies already saved nation from collapse planned by the O_btard. “Fracking”

I agree.

Frackers saved America

An energy independent America capable of producing enough oil to satisfy it's domestic needs is the worst nightmare of the people backing Obama who would like to America brought to it's knees under the strategy they have pursued with Obama.

Well, that does not bother me. I am perfectly happy to live in the Big Nothing.

I agree totally. And we farm. Fairly large farm. Some of it in the family 125 years. We could still do it, but it would not happen in an instant. Lets pray it is a skill that is never needed.

That would be the ultimate Obama Chaos. He loves chaos.

“Even in rural America”

I am not paranoid of this, but out of caution I updated my reloading capacity about 3 years ago. That is still ongoing.

I grew up hunting. There is a huge amount of local game. It recovered for the 4-5 year drought this past year. Quail population exploded. In places we have the most deer that have been here in my lifetime. Same with wild hogs (unfortunately). And Turkey.

I enjoy gardening too. Put in a much expanded orchard and berry bushes about 4 years ago. Right in the middle of the drought. Was tough to keep those alive.

We have a meat processing building with walk-in box, butcher’s bandsaw, commercial sausage press, commercial meat slicer. And a 4x8 ft. brick smoking pit. We can process our livestock and wild game if needed.

Do I want to go back to that? NO. But my ancestors were here in the rolling plains without organized society. They survived.

Large game has exploded in population here, too. Deer and wild turkey in abundance. More hunters than ever, but it doesn’t seem to be putting much of a dent in the population. We haven’t had the drought that you’ve had.

It’s good to have the means to feed yourself and your family independent of the supply chain, which has always seems a little precarious to me. Like you, I hope it’s never needed again like it once was.

Actually that was a poor post on my part, I meant mainstream media/fed probably wants to keep it quiet.

It does not make the fed look good to have Texas pull a billion or so outta NY.

And just look at what we are doing with it now!

Queen Elizabeth is a smart woman.

Not turning over the shop to Chuck pretty much proves it.

I'm getting paranoid. The Amish would have no trouble reverting to a 19th century lifestyle because most of them have been there, done that. The Mormons with their emphasis on preparation and self-sufficiency would probably do almost as well. Ditto for some of your rural people with outdoor skills who grow their own food and cut their own fuel (which would include some of those down south with low fuel needs). The rest of us, not so sure.

I've heard any car made before about 1992 would be of limited use without the internet running because they are all connected to the computer grid. The older ones would be easier to modify than the new ones.

Chances are that rural America, at best, would struggle for a few months until we adapted. Urban America, OTOH, would be lucky to even survive.

Not sure what we are doing with it now. But since the oil slump we will need a lot of help.

Texas knows, booms come and go.

We are in much better financial shape than most states.

From her visit to Texas in 1991.

Queen Elizabeth:

From Austin-Statesman:

“No state commands such fierce pride and loyalty… Lesser mortals are pitied for their misfortune in not being born Texans.”

One high altitude EMP weapon would not destroy the entire US grid.

Anybody telling you that it would, either works for companies selling government consulting fees or is just blowing smoke.

I’ve had that argument with “experts” on this forum before. But I also had family that worked in the business.
