Mitt Romney ripped into Donald Trump today, calling his candidacy a case of "evil trumping good.”
"A person so untrustworthy and dishonest as Hillary Clinton must not become president. Of course, a Trump nomination enables her victory," Romney said this morning in an address to the Hinckley Institute of Politics at the University of Utah.
And that was the tip of the iceberg in a scathing speech the former GOP presidential nominee gave of his party’s 2016 campaign front-runner.
"Donald Trump is a phony, a fraud. His promises are as worthless as a degree from Trump University," Romney said. "He's playing the American public for suckers: He gets a free ride to the White House and all we get is a lousy hat."

Me, too. Romney is just desperately trying to remain relevant, and at Trump’s expense. What is amusing, I had read in several opinion pieces that Romney could be a consideration to be thought a good V.P. in a Trump presidency. Boy, did they get that wrong! Maybe Cruz promised Romney the V.P. slot if he could stop the tidal wave that is Trump.
Is Romney representative of all Mormons?
If so, he just pinned my opinion meter in an unfortunate direction.

It was a blistering attack on Trump by Romney.
But Romney has always been good at attacking those to the right of him.
The only passion Romney ever showed was in attacking the conservatives in the 2012 primary and now in attacking Trump. As soon as Romney got the nomination he went back asleep. His job was completed, he had stopped any real conservative from getting the nomination and has cleared the way for Obama to get a 2nd term.
If you ever expect anything not perverted from Mitt Romneycare, then you refused to look at what he was doing as governor of Massachusetts.

The GOP establishment is beyond clueless if they think his attack will sway GOP voters against Trump.
More people are going to flock to Trump. This kind of contempt for the American people is beneath insulting.
Its gonna backfire on GOP elites.
“If only he had the balls to attack Barack Obama with this ferocity, he’d be running for his second term as President now.” And that would be a very effective response from Trump. He could also add John McCain in there too since McCain just put his two cents worth in too.

In 2012 Romney would have been much the same as Obama.
The fact that many Americans would not vote for a politician who forced a sexual perversion curriculum into Massachusetts schools doomed his candidacy.
Only people who are willing to say that well-documented agenda was okay still defend him.
