The scientist who likes both Bernie and Donald (48, California) ‘I’m very concerned about radical Muslims’ I moved to San Francisco from the UK in 2000. I’m a citizen now and I voted for Obama. I am a closet Trump supporter and I haven’t told any of my friends or co-workers. They would think of me as a meat-head if they knew.

The funny thing is that I like Trump and Sanders, and there’s no party or politician for me.

This can be used for election advantage. Draw disillusioned Bernie supporters over who don’t like Hillary.

Then you should be glad that they are voting Trump.

Sorry I know this comes as a massive surprise but elections are not won by securing only the votes of the Conservative Purity Choir.

You also got to stop people from voting for the OTHER side

This is exactly the reason why Cruz would lose in a landslide in the general election.

Unfortunately his supporters are too dense to realize it.

Oh yes. Bernie and Trump are one and the same. Spreading fear and lies and non-existent solutions to permanent human problems.

This is conditioning and brainwashing that has been accomplished be decades of media slop. To go against the flow of the “herd” is a risk of ridicule by the “in crowd”.
Society reduced to juvenile mindset.

Sanders is dreadfully wrong-headed about his views on society and governance, but he is also the only candidate in the race who people are pretty sure is not crooked.

Good Lord indeed. That’s some cognitive dissonance if I ever saw any. They could vote either way, for an avowed socialist or a committed capitalist, not to mention all the other issues on which they’re miles apart? Charles Manson was “anti-establishment” too, but I think I’d need a little more to vote him into public office.

Berntards are in the process of getting screwed by Hillary. They won’t ever vote for Cruz, so Trump could be their FU vote as well. Reagan couldn’t have won in landslides without democrats.

I think Sanders is honest and sincere.

The problem is what he is sincere about would be an economic and fiscal trainwreck

I have heard this numerous times over the last few weeks.

Many Sanders supporters will vote for Trump if it’s Clinton vs Trump. These are voters who do not want an establishment type in office and/or who loathe Clinton. They are not necessarily voting for Trump but rather against Clinton.

I haven’t heard to many people going the other way but I’m sure there are some. Mainly people just want to see things shake up.

People ARE this stupid.

Why do we get Populism?

Because the RINO / GOP Establishment refuses to support actual conservatism and explain it to normal people.

They are FU to the establishment voters.

The establishment of BOTH parties.

Most people here dont know but they are battling the “crown Hillary” hierarchy as much as we battle the GOPe here.

It’s pretty much always been like that.

I was very disappointed when I became an adult to discover that adulthood was pretty similar to Jr. High., socially speaking.

They both preach economic protectionism, so it makes perfect sense.
