Lonsberry: GOP BOSSES SPIT IN THE VOTERS’ FACES
thegatewaypundit.com ^ | March 2

Posted on 03/02/2016 6:47:15 PM PST by Helicondelta

Former Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney is holding a press conference on Thursday before the GOP FOX News debate.

He will attack Donald Trump – and the millions of voters who support him.

The anti-Trump effort being waged by the Republican Party is essentially a fight against democracy. It’s not that this monster has raised himself up to threaten the ivory castles of the blue bloods, it’s that millions of people have stood up and said, “Enough is enough.” It is they against whom the GOP establishment is fighting. And that fight never turns out well.

Donald Trump isn’t Barry Goldwater in 1964, he is Andrew Jackson in 1828. He is going to storm the White House, and he is going to bring his unwashed hordes with him. The Trump campaign is built on the uniquely American premise that the people are sovereign, and that does not jibe with cozy arrangements of the country-club Republicans. For too long, the Republican Party has exploited its constituencies, instead of served them, and the beaten dog is about to bite.

Some have gone off after Ted Cruz, but most have gone off after Donald Trump. Together, something approaching 80 percent of Republican voters thus far this primary season have told the party establishment to pound salt.

For those who remember Goldwater in 1964, Dwight Eisenhower had the dignity to support Goldwater and be photographed with him etc. etc.

Romney is putting himself on a lower level than Eisenhower, whom I don’t like in a lot of ways but do like for his willingness to support Goldwater in 1964.

With all the attack on Trump (ie the voters), it makes one wonder if the tin foil theories about the powers that be planning a totalitarian one-world government are true.

I think Perot worked for the Clinton’s, Perot computerized Medicare records in the 1960’s and would have gotten the contract to computerize Hillarycare records if that had gone through.

Heck, Trump may be working for the Clinton’s to destroy the GOP but I’m not crying about it.

Exactly. Romney should tour the country with McCain and Dole giving anti-Trump speeches.

That would be a death blow for GOPe. Pontifications from from all the losers.

In progress.

11. As soon as sufficient progress in the intended change shall have been made, and the public mind duly prepared according to the rules already laid down, it will be proper to venture on another and a bolder step toward a removal of the constitutional landmarks.

It's ALL about GOP-ESTABLISHMENT power-hungry, open borders, career politicians hanging onto power, right along media talking heads, print and online journalists.

I'm convinced that Mr. Donald Trump is precisely the right man to lead and rid of us the corruption that runs deep and throughout our country!

Pray it's not too late to save our Republic!

VOTE for TRUMP and PRAY for HIS SAFETY!

Increasingly all these GOPe types must be removed/purged from the party and moved to their true home, the Dem Party.

BTW, Trump at this point has already tallied 1.1 MILLION more primary votes than Mittens had at this same point in 2012.

Amen!!

The masks are completely OFF, now, and the GOPe/Cheap Labor/DCRomney cabal long knives are out, for Trump.

Watch closely who is siding with the dark side.

Vote Trump to clean the DC cesspool and, yes, pray for his safety....daily.

Wow...congratulations. You've just outted yourself as a member of the GOPe/Open Borders cesspool.....that has been the problem for decades.

Trump is the ONE candidate who threatens their dirty tricks.....tricks that YOU support.

IBTZ.

"It's ALL about GOP-ESTABLISHMENT power-hungry, open borders, career politicians hanging onto power, right along media talking heads, print and online journalists.."

It is that, and maybe that's the biggest part, but I am beginning to suspect that it's something else too. I think these people really believe they are anointed to lead us, the great unwashed, from error. It's hard to even imagine that level of conceit in a sane person.

"In Florida since you have to be registered in your party to vote in the primary, I plan to Vote for Trump in the primary on the 15th then go and register independent. The GOP can kiss my backside!"

It would be my hope that we could take over the GOP rather than leaving it, just as the hard left took over the democrat party. If that can be done, we get the party apparatus, automatic line on the ballot, etc. These would be useful if put in the service of actual conservatism.

We are now going to retire...

Candidate(R)epublican and

Candidate(D)emocrat

...for the all new...

Candidate(U)niparty

Perhaps we can make it a (Ur) or a (Ud) for more specificity, but I'd like to see this change adopted.

It highlights our problem and any longer it's just self-defeating to ignore it any longer.

The GOPe are displaying their naked lust for retaining any power that they have now, at any cost to Republican supporters.
