Reid: Trump is the GOP's 'Frankenstein'
The Hill ^ | March 2, 2016 | Jordain Carney

Posted on 03/02/2016 2:07:13 PM PST by Samwell Tarly

Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) slammed the Republican establishment Wednesday, suggesting they should blame themselves for the rise of GOP front-runner Donald Trump.

"Donald Trump is the Republican Party’s Frankenstein," Reid said. "Republicans have spent the past eight years stoking the fires of resentment and hatred, building Trump piece by piece."

Reid's remarks come after Trump won seven out of the 11 states that held Republican primary contests on Tuesday.

The Nevada Democrat, who is retiring at the end of his current term, suggested that after Republicans "refused" for years to work with President Obama or Democrats on legislation they are now "reaping what they have sown."

"Donald Trump is the ultimate fulfillment of the Republican Party's legacy of obstruction and resentment," he added.

My good friend, a staunch Liberal and Obama money bundler, sent me the NYT article
referring to Trump as Frankenstein. This is Reid's source.

Reid should be an extra on “The Walking Dead.”

No make up required.

Yes. But I think the left made a President Trump palatable by electing Sanjaya to two terms. Let’s face it; we’ve got roughly 47% on each side, leaving about 6% percent to pick the eventual winner...whether on the basis of race, gender, coin toss or whim.

But in too many ways he's right. The GOPe created Donald Trump.

That makes the GOPe Dr. Frankenstein, the monsters creator. Read the friggin' story.

I can hardly wait for Trump’s response to Harry Reid - after Trump has claimed that he’s friends with Harry.

Looks like all Trump’s “friends” are abandoning him.

Too bad.

Yes, GOP created Trump, but not the way Reid says:

The Nevada Democrat, who is retiring at the end of his current term, suggested that after Republicans "refused" for years to work with President Obama or Democrats on legislation they are now "reaping what they have sown."

If only that were true. GOP created the Tea Party when they folded on TARP and Obamacare, and gave Obama a blank check for everything he wanted major and minor. Rather than accept the Tea Party as a corrective, they attacked them and eschewed them and betrayed them.

It took awhile, we wanted to believe what our supposed leaders were telling us; but when we figured out that GOP and Obama were in almost agreement about everything, when we saw GOP attacking conservatives, their own rank and file, that is when the door was opened for a complete outsider to run and win.

Cruz is my preference. Think back a short time, pre-Trump, and GOP was attacking Cruz with every breath for trying to do what they had all promised to do. They were doing all they could to deep-six him when suddenly Trump came on the scene and they wet themselves. Trust me, I know Trump is far from perfect. But he has set them back on their heels in a way no other Repub has been able to do.

I wish it was Cruz in November and maybe there is still a chance. But if its Trump, so be it. Lets roll.

That’s funny Harry, I know several Democrats who are gonna vote for Trump so I think the Dems are just as much to blame...

Either people fear the oligarchy or the oligarchy fears to people. Maybe things are “normalizing”.

This sounds like he is talking about Obama.

Reid is trying to save McCain and all the inside info he gets from him and his staff.
He knows Trump winning primary means the end of McCain.

I have a good friend who is a retired NYPD detective. He thinks that Obama has accomplished nothing, on his agenda, because of the Republicans. What do you say to this? I just shook my head.
As far as Reid goes, he can’t form a thought without is being written out for him.

Warn people about how bad a person is and when they falter, reap the political benefits. Reid must read Machiavelli every night. Why wouldn’t he, given power is his sole goal on life?
