Trump is the arrival of Caesarism in America.
Too many people are blinded like Rome was for their hatred of the elites to see that Trump is not going to save the Republic.
I hate the Potomac clique as much as anyone else here, but Trump is solving one problem with another.
Call me a cynic, that’s how I see it.
Trump is the arrival of Caesarism in America.
Have you been asleep the last 8 years?
Really?
Been in a deep coma the past seven plus years, have you?
Cynic is not on the list of words I would call you.
“Call me a cynic, thats how I see it.”
You may be right, but we are stuck between a rock and a hard place as a nation. Once being a ‘politician’ became a defined occupation we were always in trouble. Always.
I sort of look at this election cycle as a form of chemotherapy, with the potential to harm us significantly, but without which we cannot rid ourselves of the malignancy that will eventually kill us. I’m not saying that Trump is the best form of chemotherapy. He might be. He might not. But those who have thought about it know that we are not going to get by just by taking a couple of aspirin. Something profound has to happen, and our direction has to be significantly altered. I wish the candidates could stop the infighting and actually focus on what needs to be done to prevent us from going further down the road of losing America.

I’m not calling you anything, but I think you might consider the case of the current occupant of the office and the ineffectual nature of our current congress before lobbing anything at the R side.
Is Trump Hitler? No.
Is he Ceasar? Unlikely.
Given how much Obama has done in defiance of the law from legislating CO2 a pollutant to de facto amnesty if you said you came here as a kid even if you showed up last week to refusing to enforce traditional marriage laws to ignoring nearly every subpoena from anyone, if Trump does even a fraction of that, he’s still better than Obama.
