National Review: Jeff Sessions Is a ‘Prostitute’ for Endorsing Donald Trump
Breitbart ^ | March 1, 2016 | Matthew Boyle

National Review, a once-venerable conservative publication, has officially gone off the rails entirely, publishing an article calling Sen. Jeff Sessions a “prostitute” for endorsing billionaire Donald Trump for the GOP presidential nomination.

That abominable attack on perhaps the most revered conservative in the U.S. Senate ran in a National Review piece arguing that anyone who endorses Trump is a “rat” that is “scurrying” and is also a “sellout.”

No its a magazine for Constitution loving American’s who don’t want to see a fascist who is reluctant to denounce the support of David Duke and loves to praise dictators as the Republican nominee.

No surprise. NR from its inception has not accepted ads, relying on subscriptions and large donations. Buckley admitted to losing, IIRC, more than $20 million.

So take a guess as to who those donors are these days.

National Review is a street level two-bit blinged-out pimp for the GOP Establishment.

(See, we can name call too....)

NR NEVER stood with Jeff Sessions in the first place. They are part of the GOP sell outs.

Judging by the FR Caucus results, the pro-Cruz fanatics are a much higher % of the Cruz supporters on FR than the pro-Trump fanatics’ % of Trump supporters on FR...

All the Cruz supporters who would post and cite NRO as a weighty source should feel embarrassed.

However, one claim they made is absolutely true.

NRO IS the intellectual bedrock of the modern "Conservative Movement". NRO originally defined the founding principals of Conservatism and continues to extol the "virtues" of that philosophy unashamedly.

The problem is...the Conservative Movement is little more than a dirty whore. It has no basis in patriotism. Not a nationalist bone in it's body.

"Trade, immigration and intervention", to cite Pat Buchanan from an article last night, has completely destroyed the Conservative Movement. As, on these issues the movement is purely Globalist and will ridicule any and everyone who does not toe their line.

Conservatives and the Conservative Movement are not patriotic and never put America and her interests above all others.

And, YES, I'm also talking about my fellow FReepers. Many of whom still call themselves Conservatives even though they do not subscribe to the tenets of the core philosophy.

"Christian Nationalist" is a better moniker for most of us.

As for the "Conservatives", yes, we have some common goals...but we're taking the keys away and will be driving from now on.

Funny how often a statement like is often flipped around to be exactly accurate.

I’m saying that they [Limbaugh et al] have all been thrown under the bus, even though they haven’t endorsed anyone.

I didn't throw Rush under the bus, he threw me under the bus, and it wasn't this year over Trump, it was in 1993 over NAFTA. It just took me a decade to figure it out.

Thank you, I now understand what you were trying to say. I am not trying to challenge you in this post despite a difference in our points of view. However stating that “Trump is inarticulate” is not really a good example. Copying from an online dictionary:

“adjective: inarticulate
1. unable to speak distinctly or express oneself clearly.
“he was inarticulate with abashment and regret”

synonyms: tongue-tied, lost for words, unable to express oneself”

I do know what you mean, but Trump is anything but inarticulate. He does however speak on the stump as if he has a limited vocabulary which I am sure is intentional. He knows that the vote of someone who is capable of understanding only at a 4th grade level counts the same as those of us with a more developed vocabulary.

So I believe that a “simple, true comment that will still get you attacked would be (e.g. “Trump speaks like a 4th grader”). That would be more accurate in my view.

CNN wants Hillary to look good for them.

I like to look at the ACTUAL votes for both parties (in the primaries Democrats WAY down, Republicans WAY up.
LOOK at TRUMPS RALLIES. THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE.

EVERY establishment is against Trump!

It’s the TRUMP EFFECT!

GOOOO TRUMP

May the Lord bless Trump and keep him safe.
May the Lord bless America and keep her safe.

Aside from a tiny faction of "free trade" economic traitors most Freepers are patriots, as are the vast majority of Republican voters. That's why Trump is kicking the crap out of the competition - for once we have a candidate who actually represents the GOP base!

But as far as NR goes, they're totally in the tank for globalism and have been since the Cold War ended and left them with no reason to exist.

Lest anyone forget, during the Cold War NR was on the side of the angels - literally! - and took a brave stand against infinite evil aka communism.

I've scanned both articles. Yes, I think Christie is sucking up to power. No, I don't think Sessions is a prostitute. There was no argument that he was, just the claim. Granted, as the presumed winner, lots of people will want to cozy up to Trump by endorsing him. But, as I've said before, I'd expect Sessions to support Trump or Cruze anyway. That author's comment was over-the-top.

But many of the GOPe accusations I see on FR are over-the-top too. A Breitbart-NR feud is also over-the-top. Has Trump never said anything that was over-the-top?
