Texas Gov. Greg Abbott will endorse Wednesday one of his political disciples, Ted Cruz, giving the Lone State senator his highest-ranking political endorsement thus far in the presidential race.
Abbott will formally back Cruz at an event Wednesday at 1 p.m. in Houston, campaign officials said, just six days before what is expected to be a competitive race with Donald Trump in Texas. Although not unexpected, the nod from Abbott is the clearest sign yet that the Texas Republican establishment is backing their freshman senator in his presidential ambitions.
"After 8 years of relentless attacks on our values from this White House, it's our duty as Texas conservatives to support a leader we can trust to restore our values and move this country forward," Abbott said in a video message out Wednesday. "That's why I'm supporting Ted Cruz for president."

Only Trump will build a wall on the Texas and USA border. where are the initiatives from CRuz or abbot to build a wall on the Texas border with Mexico where the illegals are invading the USA? nowhere . And CRuz hasn’t even been hardly in the state of Texas but only has been campaigning for his own political and financial personal gain.
Is abbot or Cruz doing anything to stop the flood of illegals crossing the Texas or U.S. border from Mexico? NO, they are still invading the USA.
IF I were governor or senator of Texas you bet not one illegal would be crossing that border, If I had to go down there myself with a Gatlin gun and guard that border myself

cruz is giving speeches all over the country promising this and that while the state is supposedly representing is being overrun at the border by an invading army of socialist illegals . why are cruz or abbot not at the Texas USA and Mexico border where the invasion is happening . cruz has just been campaigning for self gain not doing his job stopping Texas from being invaded.
Abbott has a massive amount of presence on the border using Texas Rangers and DPS squads.
And since you are probably not aware, there is more than just illegal Mexicans coming across our southern borders. You name a country and they are coming across.
Our team has caught a person from Bosnia. Yes he was a Muslim. You want Chinese. Coming across by the 100s and being caught by Texans and their property tax $$s not by Federal tax $$s.
