That was not my point. The headline said: Trump said Cruz had left, etc., which, according to the latest generally accepted English usage, means that Trump called out Cruz’s name, which he did not.
You act as if Trump said Cruz had dropped out of the race.

2. Find and release the report wherein all the other campaigns told the caucus voters that Carson had dropped out of the race, based on the CNN report.
3. Contact Mrs. Carson and tell her she should not believe her lying ears.
4. Contact Carson and tell him he should not believe his lying eyes.

I have seen those about ten times. They DID NOT say Carson was dropping out.
Can you comprehend? They said not a word that Carson was dropping out of the race. In addition, the reporters were not official spokes people of the Carson campaign. They had no authority whatsoever. Their whole tone was one of speculation and non-understanding.
Do I need to repeat myself. The reporters DID NOT state that Carson was dropping out. No other campaign thought the reporters were saying that Carson was dropping out.
Common sense would suggest to anyone with a room temperature IQ that Carson is the one to go to in order to see if he were dropping.

Trump said that Cruz was in the rural counties of Nevada, while he (Trump) was in Clark, in Las Vegas (implying he was in the middle of it), while Rubio had already left.
Trump has done nothing but lie for three months. He’ decided his campaign is not an effort to win followers but to destroy anyone who doesn’t agree with him on everything. He just repeats a series of lies or left-wing attacks on each conservative opponent. He did it to Walker, repeating BS about the Wisconsin economic recovery. He’s done it to Cruz. He’s starting on Rubio. He takes whatever attack has been used on a guy and cranks it up to 11. He attacked Jeb from the right. Cruz from the left. Same tactics in each case.
Trump followers are now in a pure Cult of Personality like Obama fans in 2008. Everyone else is a liar and facts be damned. It’s taken a frightening turn. I’m out.
