Donald Trump on Monday night once again ratcheted up his attacks on Sen. Ted Cruz, calling his GOP presidential rival "sick."
"This guy is sick. There's something wrong with this guy," Trump said Monday night as he slammed Cruz for the senator's campaign tactics, including the attack ads Cruz and his allies have run against Trump.
Cruz's campaign has run several ads scrutinizing Trump's record on a variety of issues important to conservatives.
Trump has repeatedly slammed Cruz since the Texas senator surged in the polls ahead of the Iowa caucuses and has since ramped up his attacks on him since Cruz beat Trump in the Iowa contest.
Campaigning in South Carolina last week, Trump also called Cruz "unstable" and "a basket case."
Trump also pointed out Monday that he beat Cruz out for the most support among evangelical voters in the South Carolina primary and said evangelicals voted against Trump because "they don't like liars."
"They're really smart people. They don't want to vote for a liar," Trump said Monday to a crowd of thousands packed into a Las Vegas arena.
Cruz, who has sought to position himself as the one "true conservative" in the race, has ramped up his attacks about Trump, bashing the Republican frontrunner for his "New York values" and suggesting Trump is not conservative.

I wonder what the Donald’s strategy is in terms of handling the raving GOPe special interests , whose puppet Rubio is.The GOPe is preparing to make it extraordinarily hard for Trump at the convention, and will challenge the assignment of earned delegates to Trump so that he will come under the 51% needed to win on the first ballot. There will be a lot of bribing of delegates by special interests to vote against Trump on the second ballot. The Donald must win the nomination on the 1st ballot at the convention, which is why he must win so decisively on Super Tuesday.
Right now the GOPe are doing everything they can to stack the convention procedureal/delegate deck against The Donald.
The GOPe has waited too long and now they have no cards to play. Trump should easily have the required delegates prior to the convention. The brokered convention is fun to speculate about but not gonna happen.

Could it really be that we will again have a populist president who truly represents The People? That we will see it once again in our lifetimes? That’s when I begin to pinch myself and worry.
Doesn't mean I have to like some of his tactics against Cruz.
IMO it has a better chance of backfiring than working well at this point, potentially taking down both himself and Cruz to where the great GOPE threat named Rubio is going to be fully bankrolled and capable of making a run.
I could be wrong, and a bit paranoid, but that's my take.
Trump is looking around and he needs to wrap up this nomination so he can get on with trashing Killary and winning the general election. I think and agree with him that it needs to happen as soon as possible.

About that video/Bible-reading dustup from yesterday...
Has anyone brought up the observation about how Cruz’s aide was sitting at a table in the hotel lobby reading a Bible? I’m not impugning the young man, but this is the kind of Pharisee-type of behavior that got my attention in the first place. Were they having a Bible Study right there in the lobby, for everyone to see how pious they all were? If it was a genuine Bible Study, wouldn’t the other guy off-camera not be using the profanity-laced remarks towards Rubio?
There’s another photo out there showing Cruz & his family “kneeling in prayer” before one of the recent debates. The photo was released by the Cruz people, I think, because it made the point of how Cruz had gotten out of camera range to pray. Well, all cameras except the one that snapped the photo and distributed it!
This type of Pharisee behavior screams for closer scrutiny.Everyone else here will have to decide for themselves whether or not he was affected by a father who raised him as being ‘anointed by God.’
I’ve scrutinized. And I didn’t like what I found out about his behavior when he’s not on his knees in public.

Trump went on Scottish TV to lambaste this Aberdeen fisherman who had been there for 30 years, and also his 80 year old mom. Describing their home, near where he forced the national govt. to override the local council to build a freaking golf course (where none was needed) and force the development,- described their home as “disgusting” and him personally disgusting as well. Sound familiar?
This man is not a leader. He is a successful developer (esp. when using government funds to aid his development) and a business person. But that does not impart leadership, beyond the concept of “winning”— to do the Constitutional thing (and btw, eminent domain is quite truly NOT Constitutional).
How do you know. We’re you in the closet with them?

At this point in the demise and destruction of our once-great Republic, anyone screaming they'll never vote for Trump/Cruz is either a troll, asleep, or so stupid that duct tape couldn't fix them.
