SCOTUS Analyst: Loretta Lynch 'Most Likely Candidate' to Replace Scalia
NBCNEWS.COM ^ | FEB 15, 2016 | Corky Siemaszko

A leading Supreme Court analyst thinks Attorney General Loretta Lynch is the "most likely candidate" to replace the late conservative Justice Antonin Scalia.

Tom Goldstein, who runs the influential SCOTUSblog, had earlier predicted Ninth Circuit Judge Paul Watford would make the top of President Obama's shortlist. But in a revised blog post, Goldstein said he now believes Lynch is the leading contender.

Lynch is a "very serious possibility," Goldstein wrote. "The fact that Lynch was vetted so recently for attorney general also makes it practical for the president to nominate her in relatively short order."

Well, we still have a fillibuster threat by Sen. Cruz.. Hopefully we can get a couple more senators to step up to the plate as well to block any nomination until after the election.

What really bugs me is we have liberal, moderate, conservative judges....I thought regardless they were to be objective. This at the get go is not objective one single bit.

The constitution is to be read and upheld literally. If it ain’t in there...it’s a no go. But who am I?

.but bring the torches and pitchforks with you if she's the one.

Sledgehammers. The Supreme Court is made of stone, you are going to need sledgehammers to tear it down.

What is totally disgusting is that none of us can have much confidence that McConnell will stop all Obama SCOTUS appointments. In fact, I would bet that he doesn’t. That’s just how much the GOPe only cares about pushing the orders of its masters. Who are the same masters as the Rats.

The senate is in recess until the 23 rd of Feb. Bring the senate back in session immediately. Obama could, and wouldn’t be surprised if he did, make a recess appointment, sticking a radical lib down our throats for these crucial votes upcoming.

A Lynch nomination works out well for the Rats.

Lynch is under pressure to indict Clinton. She can avoid that during the confirmation process (months), & a new AG can then avoid indicting Clinton until after the election. If she is elected there will never be an indictment.

Game, set, & match for Clinton & the Rats.

“Two words: Orren Hatch”

That guy is 81.......why the heck is he still in the Senate?

We need age limits......Congress 67 (for Social Security)
Supreme Court 70 (just because)
President cannot run older then 70
Presidential jobs no older then 67

Congress is a geriatric facility for goodness sake.

I am sure I will get some ageist junk thrown at me.....I am cool with that.

Good idea except for the unknown. What happens if the democrats take the Senate? What happens if Hillary or Bernie takes the Presidency? The devil you know vs the devil you don’t know.
