There is a remarkable opportunity for all parties to come together here and do something incredible:

Cruz and Trump meet. Cruz agrees immediately to swing his support behind Trump and Trump promises publicly to name Cruz as his first USSC nominee.

The GOPe agrees to stall all Obama nominees till after the election and tell National Review T@rds to back off and get with the program.

Everyone wins. Cruz gets an incredible, secured seat on the USSC, when he almost certainly will lose the nomination; Trump gets the presidency. GOP ensures control of the USSC with a guy who is reliable and vetted.

Where’s the part of that story where we all get brand-new cars and dream houses?

The only problem with this is would McConnell support a Cruz nomination...and allow the vote? He might just want to get rid of him! Then, it’s certainly President Trump...Mitch might not like that either! Washington must be having a conniption this evening!

Cruz is the MUST replacement for Scalia. Trump has said recently, on Hannity (I think), that he would name justices like Scalia and Thomas. It’s a terrible loss, but a great opportunity.

Trump couldn’t be trusted to uphold the agreement. It may be illegal to make those sorts of deals, anyway.

It’s a nice dream, but in the real world the GOP Senate will confirm the first person The Usurper nominates.

The GOPe hate Cruz with a passion. Why would they support this?

That idea STINKS ON ICE, is stupid, and yes, it IS illegal, to announce such things; especially at this stage of the primaries.
