Elite Don't Get Trump's Appeal

The difference between Sununu and most conservative pundits is that he is honest about his cluelessness. For several months, night after night, conservative talking heads have been bashing Trump, dismissing him as if he were a carnival freak. Oh, yes, they readily concede, he may be able to whip up the masses, but he cannot engage them for the long fight. That they look increasingly silly cannot be denied.

The fundamental problem with conservative critics of Trump is their class bias. They don't understand the working class. Sheltered in prep schools and Ivy League institutions, their world is one where ideas count, and not much else. They don't understand the visceral appeal of someone like Trump.

I am a conservative and I have worked all my life. I went to a state college at night. I served in the Navy. I don’t get Trump’s appeal beyond the “we’ve had it” rage. I think Trump is poison and his nomination would be an utter disaster for the nation. It would almost certainly lead to another Democrat president.

Trump, “Bob the builder” will never build that wall

andif it could be done people will climb it or tunnel under it.

Trump is a snake oil salesman like all the others.
Cruz is the only one with a track record of taking the punches to defend the constitution and the people.

Yeah I know that makes him a pussy LOL

Damned right he is! I have worked a long time as well, and those who have been in the trenches for years know the real leaders from the pretenders.

The problem with Cruz is that he is a senator and senators have always made terrible presidents. On top of that he is a lawyer and lawyers take simple problems and create giant horrible messes.

Trump has proven himself to anyone who is paying attention. He is a proven winner, knows how to succeed, knows how to negotiate. There is nobody on that stage that can match Trump in any area of success. Cruz is the more Conservative of the two. But Cruz is not electable. Nobody likes him. Nobody likes him and wants to work with him. Hes got no chance in this primary and/or especially in the general!

The basic Trump plan is to drastically strengthen the American nation, in part by SHRINKING TAXES. But also, with a WALL, and with TARIFFS. Notwithstanding the whining of some talk radio people, he is essentially saying: FREE ENTERPRISE IS THE AMERICAN THING. We will use it to our own advantage, thank you very much.

Those, who are scared of what you posted, have some real problems and are part of the problems in America. Or they have a vested interest in keeping the flow of illegals into America.

Just recently, I read that 75% of employees in the Silicon Valley are foreigners. Why aren’t they Americans?

If this is true, I suspect that Trump will get 75% of the IT vote!!!!

Trump is recreating the Nixon coalition. Working class folks. He’s running as a reactionary populist.

Had the Republicans dine their job there’d be no need for Trump. Trump is a corrective step. A shock to the corrupt system.

There needs to be a concerted effort to drive ALL sitting CongreSSits out of office, starting with Ryan and Scrotum Neck! We would be doing better picking our reps with a dart board.

Vote the lying uniparty Congre$$its out of office and replace them with good people who will serve a couple of terms and return to their home towns.

The only things the “conservative” elite have conserved is their only income, wealth, and position. They haven’t “conserved” anything else, certainly not the nation. Under their watch we have seen a once great nation take on the look and feel of an internal empire of competing ethnic and racial groups. We have more and more people who have less and less in common. All this is barely being held together by a distant, and increasingly, out of touch group in far off DC, most of them taking their marching orders from unelected, and unseen pullers of their stings, and dispensers of money to feed their greed.

Add the grim reality of being an Ivy League Lawyer.

Then, you get JFK and Obama. Now, Clintoon and Cruz want to continue the sorry record of $inators with Ivy League Law degrees.

Last, but not least, limit $inators to a single 6 year term.
