Thousands of people are trying to go to the GOP presidential debate at the Peace Center in Greenville.
It would take a venue that is 11 times the size of the Peace Center to hold everyone who tried to get a ticket through the lottery system.
GOP leaders said the Peace Center isn't large enough, so the Republican National Committee decided not to go with a lottery system.
-snip-
Groover said supporters who work hard for the party will be rewarded tickets.

This is actually a good thing because when they cheer for Yeb it will be so obvious because what he says is so lame. It will backfire.
The GOPe’s skulduggery, dirty tricks, and all out corruption know no bounds...as long as the opponent is a Constituional Conservative, a Tea Partier, an Evangelical, or Donald Trump.
This latest shenanigan really is beyond the pale, even for the GOPe.
I wonder how many are also super delegates.
IIRC the GOP does not have any super delegates.
Mr. niteowl77
Jeb is playing right into Trumps hands and The Donald is loving it. No matter how badly the GOP wants Bush as their candidate has not worked. What Trump has done to take the wind our of Bush’s sails has definitely worked. He (Jeb) might as well pack it in and go home to sell used cars with Rubio.
In the Republican Party, the only people who get superdelegate status are the three members of each state’s national party. This means that in the GOP, superdelegates are only about 7 percent of the total number of delegates.
The more important distinction, though, is that Republican superdelegates do not have the freedom to vote for whichever candidate they please. The national Republican Party ruled in 2015 that their superdelegates must vote for the candidate that their state voted for, and that’s the biggest difference
Jeb can only take votes from Rubio.
Trump’s base aren’t fly by night types.
Just switch out one GOP’per for another.
OK, thanks for the correction.
it’s ok
the faithful know Jeb is a lost cause and will hear snd make a decision for someone else....
Every bit as subtle as an illuminated message board that flashes “PLEASE CLAP” whenever Jeb speaks.
It will work as well as it did in NH.
The GOPe superdelegates must vote for their state’s choice - but ONLY for that crucial first ballot!
That’s why the “negotiated convention” is Bush’s ONLY choice now: He has to get past that first ballot so the GOPe can begin whining and dining the next votes to get past either a Cruz OR trump 45-46-48-49% vote limit.
Yeb! would starve trying to make it on commission sales.
YoungYeb! is glib enough to make a go of it.
Stacked Establishment audience of Washington Lobbyist and Special Interest....
Expect the audience to boo Trump.
I’m so sick of the Establishment/Globalist and their rigged debates.
