My definition of conservatism? A supermajority of the Freedom Caucus backing Paul Ryan as Speaker.
CanuckTed showed his “intelligence” is waaay overrated when he chose to align himself with Beck when he joined the loon to pass out teddy bears to ILLEGAL ALIEN INVADERS.
That CanuckTed continues his partnership with Beck demonstrates Einstein’s definition of insane stupidity.
Part of Cruz’ problem is his authenticity. He tries to say all the right things, but seems staged. He wants to be a tough guy, but comes off as part Grandpa Munster and part Peewee Herman.
That is the best summary I have seen.

He will win. The Trumpanzees will be stuned.
In his short career as an elected politician, he has done nothing but piss off everyone he comes in contact with in the course of executing his sworn office.
Trump is right. People don’t like Ted once they get to know him. He’s an self-righteous asshole.
Now, FTR, I liked Ted early on. I loved what he was doing in the Senate. Once he got on the trail though, his true colors started coming out and now I would not vote for him. If he wins the nomination, I’m staying home.

Cruz has a Huge problem. The independents see him as a rabid religious right winger. The Democrats think much worse! Wait until the whole group finds out he’s also a Canadian.
Once you decide he’s a hypocritical political hack, it makes more sense.
It’s all an act. Remember that youtube of them making the heartfelt ad? Pay no attention to the Ted behind the curtain.

..... the Carson rumor-mongering, the demeaning vote fraud mailers, and now the porn star ad, the Rubio claims..... Cruz has made a number of unforced errors that are really costing him....
As one astute FReeper posted: It takes some effort to make winning in Iowa a liability, but Ted and his boys managed to make it happen.
In the last analysis, Cruz seems to be trying to prove something to himself.....maybe its a Canadian-latino/s lack of self-esteem. Who knows? But the presidency is definitely not the place to achieve your lack of human potential.
Please enumerate the Conservative principles such a caucus should espouse?
