I was responding to a specific post in response to my post, so I don’t know why you want to start something.

Unlike Ted Cruz, who now uses Trump talking points for his ‘immigration policy’, Donald Trump was consistent from the beginning of his campaign about illegal immigration.

Trump June 16 , 2015

When do we beat Mexico at the border? They’re laughing at us, at our stupidity. And now they are beating us economically. They are not our friend, believe me. But they’re killing us economically. The U.S. has become a dumping ground for everybody else’s problems. (APPLAUSE)

Thank you. It’s true, and these are the best and the finest. When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best. They’re not sending you. They’re not sending you. They’re sending people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems with us. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people. But I speak to border guards and they tell us what we’re getting. And it only makes common sense. It only makes common sense. They’re sending us not the right people. It’s coming from more than Mexico. It’s coming from all over South and Latin America, and it’s coming probably — probably — from the Middle East. But we don’t know. Because we have no protection and we have no competence, we don’t know what’s happening. And it’s got to stop and it’s got to stop fast. (APPLAUSE)

I will immediately terminate President Obama’s illegal executive order on immigration, immediately. (APPLAUSE) I would build a great wall, and nobody builds walls better than me, believe me, and I’ll build them very inexpensively, I will build a great, great wall on our southern border. And I will have Mexico pay for that wall. He’s weak on immigration......

When do we beat Mexico at the border? They’re laughing at us, at our stupidity. And now they are beating us economically. They are not our friend, believe me. But they’re killing us economically.

Cruz Mar. 23, 2015

Instead of the lawlessness and the president’s unconstitutional executive amnesty, imagine a president that finally, finally, finally secures the borders.
And imagine a legal immigration system that welcomes and celebrates those who come to achieve the American dream.

(Cruz’s speech was all about him and your imagination!)

Ted Cruz is a liar. Out and out lies. I’ll take Trump’s swearing over that any day. Cruz is a phony Christian and all of you are falling for it.

“The GOP has to develop a comprehensive policy “to take care of this incredible problem”

Yep, and Trump’s plan is certainly MORE COMPREHENSIVE (i.e., they all leave and we build a wall), than Cruz’s or anyone else’s.

That’s why he gets my vote.

I have known Jamiel Shaw for years, he’s a good man, good family. He was first introduced to us by the wonderful Terry Anderson. http://freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2558808/posts

Until Donal Trump came along, not ONE presidential candidate ever acknowledged the sacrifice of thousands of US families for the loss of their loved ones at the hands of illegal aliens. No, not even the saintly Ted Cruz.

Ted Cruz has spent his entire adult life in a court room or a Senate Chambers. THAT is the definition of an insider. He's never held a job in a REAL business. He served at a private law firm but NEVER in a revenue producing, profit producing business.

His wife is at a senior level at Goldman Sachs.

Give me one job that Ted Cruz has had as an adult that hasn't involved the law or politics. I'll wait.

Ted Cruz is the epitome of an insider who has spent his entire adult life in a bubble.

Ted Cruz it does not take the "moral" high ground, he defends the ground of the Constitution according to its merits.

I was trying to stay out of this but you and lots of other Cruz supporters are so over the top in your self righteous defense of Cruz I just have to throw my two cents in.

Impoverished father? Bull, Cruz father was making good money in the oil patch as was Cruzs' mom. So impoverished father is a LIE. Why do Cruz supporters lie so much?

Cruz went to the best elitist insiders schools. Yes he went on merit BUT HE WENT. His education is identical to any Bush, B. Obama or H. Clinton, insider.

Cruz worked in the W. Bush Administration, insider.

Cruz is married to a high level executive at Golden Sachs. Many of us outsiders consider Golden Sachs the epicenter of evil, insider. Heidi Cruz helped put together the CFR globalist plan to absorb the USA into the NWO, insider.

Cruz has spent almost his entire adult life in government, insider.

Cruz is a sitting US Senator, insider.

Cruz is being financed by Big Oil, Big Banks, DC based pacs, insider.

Claiming Cruz is an outsider reformer is total BS.

Donald Trump starts off life inheriting a couple hundred million dollars, is that your definition of merit?

Another lie, why do Cruz supporters lie so much?

Donald Trumps father died in 1999. Trump was already a billionaire in the early 1980s'. In 1970 Donald Trump borrowed 1 million dollars from his dad. It was this 1 mil loan that Trump turned into billions. But you already knew that you just like the lie better so you continue to bear false witness against Trump, how Christian of you /s

Any president who doesn’t begin every day on his knees isn’t fit to be commander in chief of this nation.

Just scattering the seed wherever I go my friends, that is what I’ve been asked to do. Sometimes it may take root, other times not. As for defining God, that is something for one to discover on their own.

I do find the replies to my comment interesting though. Never did I say I was for Ted Cruz, and yet he came up in most every comment.

Ted Cruz did not get into Princeton because he was insider, while there he did not win the national debate championship because he was insider, he did not get into Harvard Law school because he was an insider, while there he did not get on Law Review because he was insider, he did not get a job in the Bush administration because he was an insider and while there earn such a reputation as to be able to go on to become solicitor general in Texas. While solicitor general in Texas, he did not win a series of Supreme Court cases because he was insider.

When a lawyer enters a courtroom he does not do so as an insider he does so as an advocate who is on equal footing with his adversary. There is no such thing as insidership in that venue unless it is corrupt.

When Cruz entered the Senate he did so as an advocate against adversaries, the adversaries were your enemies and mine and he fought them on our behalf. Mere occupancy of the building does not make one an insider in the Senate anymore than it does in the court room.

For Trump supporters to accuse Cruz of being an "insider," indeed the "consummate" insider is stunning hypocrisy when they support a man who admits to bribing politicians in order to get favors. Donald Trump brided his way inside!

Why do Trump supporters project the very sins of their man onto every other candidate?

Cruz's father did abandon the family for a time, he did suffer financial loss as a result of his drinking, and Cruz's father did start out very poor in America.

How much did Trump inherit from his father? Did Trump use his father's banking and political connections to advance his real estate adventures? Of course he did. Trump was born on third base and thought he hit a triple.

I don't want a Sunday school teacher, I want a Patton.

These career politicians all live in their gated communities insulated from the hell they have created for us.

The crime, schools are a mess, healthcare costs skyrocketing because of all the leaching off the system.

These illegals don't give a rip about being Americans. They send our money home to family and when they have enough, they go back. They spend more time catering to the illegals than they do the black communities that need jobs.

It’s time to bring the fist down on all this and not take Teddycruz bears and soccers balls to the border to reward illegal activity.

WOW! Well said Magnolia... great rant...

You cannot answer a simple question: Name ONE job that Ted Cruz, as an adult, has held that was not connected to politics? ONE.

He worked for a law firm as a lawyer.

Abraham Lincoln was either a lawyer or in politics all of his adult life. He represented the biggest most important businesses of the age, the railroads.

Herbert Hoover, one of our most unsuccessful of presidents, was one of our most successful businessman.

This is an absurd line of attack against Ted Cruz.

It's not a line of attack - oh sensitive one. It's one of many criteria that I, as an individual voter, have every damn right to consider.

Ted Cruz is an insider and I have made the decision NOT to vote for another politician who looks, acts, talks and walks JUST LIKE another politician. I have also made the decision to push back on those who dare to tell us all how to vote lest we become not Christian enough or Conservative enough. To those I say, kiss my Conservative Christian ass!!
